WANAKI CENTER EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

Position: 1 Full-time/ Program Facilitator Attendant Hourly Rate: $12.46/hr. Application Deadline: September 12, 2014 by 4:00 p.m. Wanaki Center is a residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation treatment facility. Our services are limited to adult First Nation People from across Canada. The Center is owned and governed by the Algonquin First Nations of Québec. We are a 12 bed residential treatment facility that provides services in both French and English. Our Center has strived to maintain an accreditation status since 1999 from the Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation, which is on-going. Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Executive Director and Treatment Coordination, the Program Facilitator/Attendant ensures the safety and well-being of all residents and the security of the Treatment Center facilities. They are also responsible for preparing and supervising the preparations of previously cooked meals, along with facilitating some program social activities.

Schedule: 7 days on 7 days off (Sunday to Saturday) Monday to Friday: 4:00pm to 12:00am and/or 12:00am to 8:00am (rotational) Saturday and Sunday: 8:00 am to 8:00 pm and/or 8:00 pm to 8:00 am (rotational)

Position Qualification Requirements: Applicants are required to be fully bilingual in French and English. Must possess a Driver’s license with access to a personal vehicle. Minimum education of Grade 10 (Sec 4) completed. Healthy lifestyle free from addictions or abuse of substance Policy verification and certificate of good health

Position Assets: CPR/First Aid certification. Ability to speak and comprehend the Algonquin language.
