Its time for bed!Have you:

Cleaned your room?Brushed your teeth?

Put on your pajamas?

Put away your day clothes

properly?

Laid out your clothes for

tomorrow?

Gone to the bathroom? Gotten a drink of water? Said good night to

everyone?

Now, lets remember Allah before we go to bed by making thikr, because:

for men and women who engage much in Allaah's remembrance, for them has Allaah prepared

forgiveness and great reward..

[Soorah al-Ahzaab, Aayah 35]

Suratun Naas

When retiring to his bed

every night, The

Prophet (sallAllahu

'alayhi wa sallam) wouldhold his palms together,

and (whilst blowing -

would) lightly spit in

them, recite the last

three chapters of the

Quraan and then wipe

over his entire body asmuch as possible with

his hands, beginning

with his head and face

and then all parts of the

body, he would do this

three times.

The Prophet (sal-

Allahu 'alayhi wa

sallam) also said:

When you are about to

sleep recite Aayatul-

Kursi till the end of the

ayah for there will

remain over you a

protection from Allah

and no devil will draw

near to you until

morning.

The Prophet (sal-Allahu

'alayhi wa sallam) also

said: Whoever recites

the last two Ayaat of

Surah al-Baqarah at

night, those two Ayaat

shall be sufficient for

him .

Last Two Ayaat of Baqarah

[Soorah al-Baqarah, Aayaat 285-286]

When you go to bed say:

How Perfect Allaah is. [thirty-three times]

All praise is for Allaah. [thirty-three times]

Allaah is the greatest. [thirty-four times]

...for that is indeed better for you both than a servant.

The Prophet (sal-Allahu 'alayhi wa

sallam) would place his right hand

under his cheek when about to sleepand supplicate:

O Allaah, protect me from Your punishment

on the day Your servants are resurrected.

[three times]

Alla-hum-ma qi-nee a-thaa-ba-ka yow-

ma tab-a-thu i-baa-da-ka

Bis-mi-ka Alla-hum-ma a-moo-tu wa ah-yaa

O Allah, I submit my soul unto You, and I entrust my affair

unto You, and I turn my face towards You, and I totally rely

on You, in hope and fear of You. Verily there is no refuge nor

safe haven from You except with You. I believe in Your Book

which You have revealed and in Your Prophet whom You

have sent.

If you take to your bed, then perform

ablution, lie on your right side [and

then supplicate [the following thikr]

...If you then die, you will die upon

the fitrah.
