Just How Smart is It?
• There are only a few items Google Glass can do en=rely on its own – Take Photos – Record Videos – Par=cular Apps (WordLens, probably others in future)
• The majority of Glass’ ac=ons needs an Internet or Bluetooth connec=on – Make a Video Call – Generate direc=ons – Interface with the majority of Apps

Cards • The core naviga=on in Glass is
based on cards. You swipe through the deck of cards.
• Some cards will have a bent edge. That shows you that tapping on the card provides addi=onal informa=on
• User installed cards show up in =meline view and not by item type. EG Photos might be scaaered across your card deck and not in one “tappable” place.
Naviga=ng Glass • Before we can talk about connec=ng Glass, you need to understand how its interface works.
• Google Glass displays everything in cards.
• Tapping on the side of glass toggles a command or wakes Glass up and sliding across Glass moves through the cards.
• Sliding Down moves you back in the card stack.

Card Naviga=on • While there are a lot of commands
which are based on voice, there are some cards which are always wai=ng for you
• One direc=on is your days history with glass and the other are informa=onal cards based on previous searches, emails it read, weather based on your loca=on, etc.
• Imagine a circle of cards which always surround your head. Dragging to eye, history, dragging to ear, informa=on about your day.

Cellular and Glass
• Remember, Glass needs some sort of Internet connec=on to work to its full poten=al.
• When you hook your Glass up to iOS or Android you can use your Glass just like a Bluetooth headset, because, well, it is!
• Glass adapts itself based on what the heck you are connected to and how you have it configured.
• Internet only connec=on will allow Glass to conduct basic web searches and access your Google Hangouts to make video calls.
Connec=ng Glass: iOS and Android
• You can connect Glass via Open Wifi, Bluetooth, Android and iOS
• To get the most features and use out of Glass, use a mobile device and the MyGlass App.
• To get the absolute best Glass experience, use an Android device.
