THE AL55 AIRCRAFT ENGINE DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTION PROGRAM

COOPERATION WITH INDIA


The AL-55I engine is developed by NPO Saturn under the international contract with Hindustan Aeronautics Limitedd/d August 1, 2005 for the HJT-36 jet trainer of the Indian Air Force

On May 9, 2009 HAL Corporation carried out first flight of HJT-36 with AL-55I engine that was the start of flight certification tests

Organization of the AL-55I licensed serial production in India is the second stage of the program

An up-to-date complex for oil deep refinery was built, that enabled to enhance the process of refinery up to 66% and to increase the output of light oil

In 2006 - 2007 Yaroslavl Tyre Plant directly delivered to India avia tyres for the IL, TU, AN types of aircraft made in Russia

From 2007 until now India continues to purchase avia tyres for civil and military aircraft manufactured by Yaroslavl Tyre Plant through distributor companies or Rosoboronexport

At the moment the negotiations between SIBUR Group and Indian automobile company Tata Motors are under way on delivery of Russian auto tyres for Indian cars
