Produce feelings of euphoria and light-headedness
Can result in brain damage, suffocation, and death
Prescribed CNS Depressant Medications: Barbiturates and tranquilizers
Used to treat anxiety, nervousness, sleep problems, and to relaxmuscles
Discontinuing use can lead to withdrawal symptoms
