    Gain an understanding o social investment and innovation

    with a Graduate Certifcate in Social Impact.

    Delivered in partnership with the Centre or Social Impact, this

    certifcate degree ocuses on building the proessional capacity

    o social managers and entrepreneurs o the uture, across

    the corporate, government and third (not-or-proft) sectors.

    You will graduate with the critical leadership skills to manage

    organisations leading social innovation and creating social

    value. All courses are available as electives or students in the

    Master o Business Administration.

    Course Structure

    The Graduate Certifcate is designed to be completed in a

    minimum o one year and a maximum o two years. The course

    consists o units to the total value o 24 points. Students must

    complete the introductory course and three additional courses,

    two or three rom the Graduate Certifcate suite, with the option

    to select a fnal unit rom the existing UWABS MBA program.

    Unit options

    MGMT8516 Social Impact: Entrepreneurs and Social Innovation

    (Core unit). This course examines the accelerating economic

    relationship between government, business and the third sector

    to deliver social and environmental value in communities and

    the way in which this drives social innovation.

    MGMT8615 Demonstrating Social Impact (Selected Topics

    in Management) . Provides an overview and introduction to

    evaluation and social impact assessment, the underpinning

    principles o evaluation and social impact assessment and

    examines some o the key social impact measurementapproaches increasingly used by leading Third sector

    organisations in Australia and internationally, including Logic

    Models such as LogFrame; Social Return on Investment

    (SROI); and Social Accounting and Audit (SAA).

    MGMT8518 Social Investment and Philanthropy (Essential unit).

    Examines the major changes reshaping the role o philanthropy

    internationally and in the Australian context: global economic

    realignments, the privatisation o community services; new

    patterns o wealth distribution and o inter-generational

    wealth transer; greater expectations o the role o corporate

    citizenship and o corporate philanthropy.

    MGMT8517 Leadership for Social Impact (Essential unit).

    Provides students with an introduction to the challenges

    and opportunities o leading organisations with the purpose

    o improving social outcomes. This unit examines current

    challenges in achieving social beneft, leadership in the

    social economy, leadership ocused on identiying adaptive

    challenges, new orms o organising and collective intelligence,

    and new governance systems and demands.

    MGMT 8506 Ethical Dimensions of Organisational Management

    and Leadership is oered every semester and can be taken as

    the ourth course.

    Admission requirements

    Domestic students

    1. A bachelors degree o this University, or equivalent as

    recognised by the Faculty, and at least fve years relevant

    work experience, or

    2. At least eight years relevant experience.

    All UWA coursework programs: English Language
