Exploring the World of Chiropractics

Introduction

• Graduation project is suppose to be an extention beyond high school. My grad project I choose to Shadow of Chiropractor. I choose this as my grad project because I am people oriented. I want to get into a professional career as an adult and acclimated to the business atmosphere.

Making Appointment

• My first day I started answering phone.

• I made appointments for Dr Brown patients.

• I took messages and did some paper works.

Experience

• When I got there to interact with the patients, I helped a man with pain in his lower back by using ice-pack.

• Dr Brown was showing me a patients spine on an X-ray.

• I helped a woman on a rolling chair, which is used to stretch her spine, she had pain in her upper back.

• Dr Brown showed me the different types of machines and how they work.

• Observing the doctor crack a patient back.

• Helping the patients do 3 sets of 10 on one of the exercise machines.

Summary/Reflection

• My time with Dr Drown was a great experience. I learned almost everything about being a chiropractor. I’ve realize that you should take good care of your body when you are young because when you get older it will catch up to you.
