Fall 2012: October 7 to January 12

Spring 2013: January 13 to May 18

Summer 2013: May 19 to August 24

Fall 2013: August 25 to January 11

Review & Adjust Effort Over the Term

Run the Mid-Term Report, FGR2MTC, on Banner This will provide the Fiscal staff at each department with a list of exempt employees (incudes faculty) on restricted funds (also known as sponsored programs). This report can be run by the fiscal officers at the department levels either by TKL (Payroll location) or by individual employee to provide the percentage of time spent on each project.

Parameters for FGR2MTC

Enter your Banner Printer’s name in the ‘Printer’ field.

Enter the calendar year of the period you are reporting on line 01.

Enter the certification period in CAPITALS on line 02.

Enter either line 03 (T###) or line 04 (Employee ID) or both.

IF YOU LEAVE BOTH BLANK YOU WILL GET FORMS FOR THE ENTIRE UA SYSTEM.

Check the ‘Save Parameter Set’ box then hit F10. The form(s) should print to your Banner printer.

Change Effort in a Forward Motion discuss future work plans

Adjust on the Paperless Job Process (PJP) changing future effort percentages in EPAF Adjust on the Timesheet changing effort percentage once Effort can be changed during a payroll period and it can reflect the percentages for a single week.

Effort Certification Statements

Run the certification statement, FGR2CRT, on Banner Each exempt employee on a restricted fund will need to review the effort percentages, accept or revise them, and sign the form--certifying actual percentage of effort.

Run by TKL or by Person

Run the day after the end of the certification period

Due to Grants & Contracts Office 30 days after statements can be run

If your statement does not look like this, make sure you’ve typed evi_fgr2crt under Template in the Printer Control area of FGR2CRT and/or your Banner Printer has a “L” at the end for landscape.

Completed Certification Statement

After effort has been reviewed and any changes have been noted, the statement is ready for employee’s signature.

Only write pertinent information within the allotted boxes. Any marks outside of the given spaces affect uploading.

Next Steps: Forward original signed effort certification

forms to Grants & Contracts within 30 days after the end of the certification period.

Original certifications will be returned to Departments with the “Grants & Contracts Entered” stamped on the back of each certification. They will also have the date when the certifications were uploaded into OnBase.

Departments are to keep originals until further notice from Grants & Contracts.
