At Northern, campers are challenged to learn new skills and explore new interests in science, dance, visual arts, music, and Chinese. Weekly picnics and trips, as well as games and activities, mean there’s no shortage of time for enjoying summer and hanging out with new friends.

We know that the greatest arts place emphasis on improving the artist’s inner spirit. The self-discipline and confidence our campers develop at Northern will last long after the summer is over.

Have the time of your life playing in the arts! In our music program you can have a great time improving your skills individually and as part of an ensemble. Participate in a performance of The Sound of Music.

Energize your creative self learning printmaking, sculpture, watercolor, crafting, woodworking, and graphic design. Our summer programs cultivate a passion for creativity.

Immerse yourself in Chinese culture--Explore this rich ancient civilization through the Chinese language, painting, calligraphy, and meditation. Perform a play all in Chinese!

Focusing on classical and traditional dance forms, our programs draw upon masterful techniques passed down over centuries. Students will not only develop strength, control, and good posture; but will learn how to move gracefully, while refining their inner character.

DANCE INTENSIVE Explore a world of dance through systematic training in classical Chinese dance, Chinese ethnic and folk dance, tumbling, and classical ballet. Classical Chinese dance is a holistic dance system that refines mind, body, and spirit.

CLASSICAL BALLET Discover classical ballet in its purest form, and embody the elegance and precision of ballet’s regal origins.

We offer ballet classes for 3-4-year olds, as well as adult classes. Don’t miss out!

NASA CitySmart Discover how to use professional water and soil quality testing equipment and study new greenhouse design and systems.

Electronic Circuitry Work hands-on with electronic circuitry experiments, learning basic electronic components and their functions.

Unmanned Aircraft Systems Learn the complete workflow for UAV operations, including mission planning, pilot training, ground control systems, data acquisition, GIS mapping, and data analysis.

Computer Programming Begin developing career-level computer programming skills, with a focus on coding for NASA applications. Introduction to advanced level instruction will be available for Web-based programming, including Javascript, HTML5 and CSS.
