Cross-Border Services

Ryder is a leading logistics company on both sides of the border, managing more than 80 carriers and 3,000 border crossings per week. Ryder provides a broad range of solutions, including international truck transportation between Mexico and the United States, milk runs, consolidation and deconsolidation in both countries, and contracting of customs brokerage services. Our transportation network delivers to manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, retailers, and end consumers in both countries. Our Cross-Border Solutions include:

• Cross-border Coordination – Ryder acts as the liaison with U.S. and Mexican carriers, customer representatives and customs brokers to ensure that all transactions are carried out according to plan.

• Drayage Yard and Management – Ryder has dedicated yard facilities in Tijuana, Otay Mesa, El Paso, Juarez, Nuevo Laredo and Laredo that provide high levels of security. Ryder also has state-of-the-art yard management systems that can track the location of trailers within the network.

• Direct Shipment Coordination – Ryder manages direct trailer shipments from Mexico to the U.S. and vice versa. We coordinate all door-to-door activities, including the handling of all customs brokers transactions.

• Cross-Dock and Distribution Operations – Ryder handles cross-dock material going into Mexico from the U.S. and vice versa.

• Customs Forwarding – We manage all customs forwarding services and consolidate and deconsolidate products to move them across the border efciently.

• Customs Brokerage and Paperwork – Ryder uses dedicated U.S. and Mexican brokers to provide full customs brokerage services. We also interface with the customs brokerage system on behalf of our customers to provide all the data required for customs processing.
