Our firm was founded by Marvin Smithin 1965. Marvin’s son Tim continued to serve the community as TJ Smith & Associates where,now owner, Tawnya Mack began working for him in 1998. In 2003, Tawnya took ownershipof the firm and now operates as Mack & Associates, PC. Tawnya is a certified publicaccountant, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), theIllinois Certified Public Accountant’s Society (ICPAS) and licensed in the State of Illinois.

Mack & Associates, P.C. is the largest firm in Grundy County staffed entirely by localemployees. Full time staff includes Lauri Pope, CPA, Erica L. Blumberg, CPA, Matt Melvin, ChrisChristensen, Andrea Peterson, Stephanie Heisner and Sondra Rankin. Melvin Smith, Marvin’sbrother, began working during tax season in 1969 and continues to provide tax services tothis day under Mack & Associates, P.C. Linda Hunt also provides seasonal tax services.
