Leader Ystad – Österlen region 2011 – 2013580.000 SEK + Volontary hours and other resources, 223.000 SEK. Total budget = 803.000 SEK.40 members small scale rural businesses within 4 municipalities. Well established companies with a clear vision as well as companies in its starting phase.

Internal: Packages, 2 – 3 part cooperations leading to new activities towards customer.

External: NUR naturebased rehabilitation, a public procurement.

Fysical activity on recepie.

Cooperation with Bornholm, Denmark.

Österlen lyser, a regional light-weekend november 2012.

NUR, nature based rehabilitation = a project based on a cooperation between Green Health companies (Ekogarden and Gateway Scandinavia), The Region of Skåne, The Swedish Agricultural University, Public Health Insurance, Employment Service and The Swedish Farmers Federation.

NUR – nature based rehabilitation

- participant stays at the farm 4 hours/day, 3 days/week for 8 weeks.

- day structure - arriving, doing, leaving.

- naturebased activity and non activity depending on the participants daily fitness.

- research during the stay, diary.

How to connect Green Health Sweden with Europe?

EU project within LLP programme in cooperation with ECEAT International. Application is sent for 2013 grant. Result july 2013. Possible project start october 2013.

Budget 400.200 Euro

Target group: Small scale rural businesses within the ECEAT Global family

Purpose: To develop a learning organization within Green Health to create additional income for rural areas, combining agro tourism with health/wellness as an opportunity for new product differentiation. Create a platform for rural green health businesses in Europé, to improve rural educational level.

Project Goals

To develop national green health organizations as an integrated part of national ECEAT and ECEAT International.

To develop quality criteria for this sector together with the agricultural university in Alnarp, Sweden.

To train stakeholders from these green health areas.

To follow the local green health process through the number of new innovative nature based health/wellness packages occurring as a result from cooperation between rural companies finding each other through the new organization with theme based network meetings, creative inspiration gatherings, visits and from the hub of monthly “Walk and Talk” in early morning hours.

To build a user friendly web system including green health and a new “build your holiday” tool for customers.

To build a LLP in-service training solution with the ECEAT content - sustainability, ecology, green health and tourism.

To develop the quality label system to include green health criteria.

To identify and organize an expert group.

To print a catalogue and a brochure.

To disseminate the project results.

Result in general terms:

Mobility is increased.

Integration is improved through a common platform including third country.

Integration through a better understanding of the coherency between health, ecology and sustainability.

Educational level is increased as sustainability, ecology and green health attaches.

Rural areas are developed by increasing rural businesses.

Creates balance towards the busy urban areas, directly growing from the rural abundance.

Each meeting is a platform from which new ideas occur, are sharpened, developed and growing.

New innovative local nature based health packages created from the local cooperation between local companies meeting for “Walk and Talk”.

The websystem is an independant tool for each member to reach each other and the common venue. The website content is a matching tool from customer to businesses.

Tourism is increased between EU countries.

Local, regional and national economies are favorably affected.

A Green Health database is collected and made available through the tool “Build your Holiday”.

Knowledge is increased through the learning process and through the development of local Green Health areas.

Competition in rural areas is increased. Social economies positive influenced.

Technical knowledge is improved through using E – learning and ICT communication.

Integration and language are influenced positive through the increased mobility.

Increased job opportunities in rural areas.

Health and quality of life is improved.

 

Result:

1) Green health is developed and implemented in ECEAT as an integrated part of the service. Stake-holders are educated in the member countries.

2) A LLP in-service training within sustainability, ecology and green health is developed.

3) A flexible and modern web system is developed during the project period to handle green health, quality-label, expert group, support and a user friendly communication tool between member countries. An online tool to “Build Your Holiday” is developed where customers can match their wishes.

4) A quality label system including green health is understood, implemented and put into practice.

5) An European expert group within sustainability, ecology, green health is identified.

6) A support team towards member countries is settled as a new service.

7) A catalogue and a brochure is printed and distributed as a part of the project dissemination.

 

After the project period the new ECEAT Win – win(d) content is:

Central level: Support /projects, Quality/label system, Training/experts, Marketing/web site.

 

De central level: National ECEAT includes an integrated Green Health part.

Easier access to website systems, marketing tools and each other. In-service training is available. Quality-label system is implemented. Mobility is supported.
