Only hard- boiled detecve Rumpelsltskin and his wise-cracking partner Ugly Duckling can solve this wacky case. Full of hilarious roles and snappy one-liners, this private eye parody is pure gold! The play was performed today, April 28, at 1:30pm. Another performance is this evening at 7:00pm in the gymnasium. Come join us in the fun! ST. LOUIS SCIENCE FAIR RESULTS! This week the annual St. Louis Science Fair was held at Queeny Park. Green Park sent 28 projects to the fair and of those, there were 13 blue ribbons, 12 red ribbons, and 3 green ribbons! Also, three of the projects received special awards. Feed My People is supported by donaons from individuals, schools, churches, businesses, foundaons and community groups. Please help us support their service to our community! We would like to have all our students experience this here at GPLS as this will be a school day. We need parent volunteers for each homeroom class to help our students safely view this amazing event with special eclipse proof goggles. We need people to pray for clear sunnyweather. The news sources are predicng this to be the most asked offfor day in US history as the enre eclipse will happen over the United States. Unlike a lunar eclipse, this is only viewable by a specific path the shadow of the moon across the US. Quesons and interest should be directed to Mrs. Ann Ryherd as she will begin the compiling volunteers. They will also sing for the 8am service and possibly preservice of the 10:30am service this Sunday. Please tell others about this event and please aend! LUTHERAN SOUTH SPRING BAND AND CHOIR CONCERTS The music department at Lutheran High School South announces its annual spring band concerts. This is a great opportunity to hear terrific music performed by some excellent young musicians. All Lutheran South band alumni and former students of Mr. and Mrs. Miller are especially invited. This will be your last chance to see Mr. and Mrs. Miller conduct before their retirement at the end of this school year.

Friday, April 28 at 7:30 p.m. is the annual Jazz Band Concert featuring the high school Jazz Band. This popular concert will be held in the Kuhlmann Center at Lutheran South where the audience members are seated informally around tables. Please bring your own snacks and beverages and relax in a nightclub setting as you listen to some great jazz.

Friday, May 5 at 7:30 p.m. is the annual Spring Band Concert. This event features Lutheran South’s well-known Wind Symphony in addition to the high school Concert Band. Also included will be the Junior Winds, a select band of the best Lutheran elementary school band members in the area. This concert will be held in the Concordia Center at Concordia Lutheran Church in Kirkwood.

Mark your May calendar for the Spring Choir Concert. All four LHSS Choirs will perform on Sunday evening, May 14, at 7:30 pm in the Kuhlmann Center at the school on Tesson Ferry Road. Highlights of the evening will be selections by state-level singers, the varsity Lancer Singers, and the middle school Junior Singers. The Lancer Singers include former Green Park students Lindsay Miller, Anna Renner, Jennifer Stroups, Abby Welker, and Grace Wilkinson. An offering will be received, and a cookie reception will follow the concert.

SCRIP NEWS The next (and final) Scrip Order will be entered on Friday, May 5, with a delivery date of Friday, May 12.

Please remember, Dierbergs and Shop ‘n Save gift cards are available for purchase in the school office. The cards can be purchased in denominations of $25 or $100. They earn profits of 5%, and of those profits, 75% goes to you. So, for instance, if you purchase $100 worth of cards, you earn $3.75. That means that for every $1,000 you make in purchases, you earn $37.50 in Scrip credits! Those Scrip credits can then be used for any of your TADS invoices.

LUTHERAN DAY AT BUSCH STADIUM Baseball fever is in the air! Join us for the 2017 Lutheran Day at Busch Stadium on Sunday, April 30, for the 1:15pm game against the Cincinnati Reds. Following the Cardinals game, the Lutheran High School North and Lutheran High School South Varsity Baseball teams will play on the field. Stay and cheer on the teams! The Lutheran High School Association is offering discounted tickets. They are $30 each and are available on a first come/first served basis. You may obtain your tickets from baseball players at LHSN or LHSS, from the LHSN or LHSS school offices, or go online to lhsastl.org/cardinals. Help them sell all 1,600 tickets to raise $20,000 for the schools!

UNIFORM FITTING DAYS We have one more remaining uniform fitting day. Monday, May 1, 2:30-5:30pm, in Room 305, Dot the I Embroidery will be here. Dot the I Embroidery specializes in our uniform shirts, sweatshirts, and fun Green Park Spirit Wear items. LUTHERAN SOUTH OFFERING SUMMER CAMPS Lutheran High School South is once again offering summer camps. The 2017 Lancer Summer Camps are now online, and registration is open. SUMMER SPORTS CAMP Basketball and Volleyball! St. Paul Lutheran School in Des Peres is running camps this summer to improve skills in both sports. Mr. Rusert recommends the basketball camps!
