Proposal to charge for single use plastic bags– Establish partnership with 5 or 6
grocery and fast food chains– Voluntary charge (25c) with half
the income returned to the campaign
– Public education campaign in advance … POS staff education and materials in support
– Lobby government to ban other sources of plastic pollution (e.g. styrofoam)
