Only 6% of raw materials used in a typical manufacturing process end up in the product. 94% of raw material end up as a scrap or waste. After only 1 use, 80% of products are discarded. Within 6 weeks of the sale of goods, 99% of the original materials used become waste. Waste is created much faster than it can be reconstituted or recycled into useful resources.
