Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic School October 30, 2015 All School Mass: SPPS students will attend the 8:00 Mass on Monday, November 2 nd , at 8:00. This is the Mass for All Souls’ Day. Jr. Beta Meeting: Jr. Beta will meet on Wednesday, November 4 th , from 2:45-3:45. Benediction: Please come pray with us at First Friday Benediction on November 6, 2015, at 1:45. Christmas Bazaar: Come do your Christmas shopping in our parish center on November 7 th , from 8:30 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. Over 30 vendors will be selling handcrafted items, baked goods, and much more. Breakfast and lunch will also be available. A NOTE FROM MRS. WATKINS The Saint’s Children’s Parish Choir is now changing practice day and time to Thursdays at 2:30 until 3:30 pm. This change begins on November 5 th . Any interested students in grades 3-8 are asked to attend. Due to the size of the choir loft, I can only take 25 singers. Practice will be for the following scheduled Masses: Sunday, November 15 th at 10:30, and Thursday, December 24 th at the Family Mass at 4:00 pm. In January we will have a new schedule and have different Mass times for singing. Please come and support us. This choir is also open to our non-Catholic students. You can contact me at [email protected] First Reconciliation: Please pray for our 2 nd grade students as they prepare to make their First Reconciliation on November 14 th . OUR STATE CHAMPIONSts. Peter & Paul Catholic School sent 11 runners to compete in the KTCCCA Meet of Champions in Lexington, KY, on October 24, 2015. Tomás Duncan, a 7 th grader, became a five-time cross country state champion winning the Boys’ Middle School Championship 4K at Masterson Station Park. He ran a 13:34:01 and finished first out of 461 runners. Also competing in the championship races were Tobiás Duncan (3 rd out of 327), Walter Kunnmann (11 th out 396), Anna King (100 th out of 401) and Luke Shouse (105 th out of 396). SPPS runners in the KTCCCA Open Race were Ryan Luckey (5 th out of 249), Nic Luckey (4 th out of 96), Eva Blankenberger (64 th out of 100), Tahlon Goodin (25 th out of 249), Hunter Goodin (137 th out of 249) and Ozzy Goodin (167 out of 249). His message of faith and real life is delivered in such a genuine and direct style, it makes people desire a deeper relationship with God. Join us on November 3-5 for a message of hope for all ages.
