Statistics• The scientific name is Ursus arctos horriblis

• Weight can range from 300-850 lbs for males and 200-450 in females.

• They are 3- 3 ½ feet at the shoulders, but can stand about 8 feet tall.

• Grizzly bears can live about 20-30 years in the wild, and can live more than 40 years in captivity.

• They have a hump of muscles on top of their shoulders. Their coat can range from a silver color to an almost black color.

Habitat
