• Hallucinogens are drugs that cause hallucinations (profound distortions in a person’s perceptions of reality)

How are Hallucinogens used?

• Hallucinogens are sold mainly in tablets and capsules, but they can also be found in liquid form.

• Specifically, LSD can be added to absorbent paper and dissolved on the tongue.

What are some of the medical complications?

• “Trips” can be frightening and can result in panic attacks.

• While on “trips,” your perceptions are distorted and you are especially prone to injury.

Long Term
