Women’s Noon Luncheon

April 29

A CWF meeting will be held

following the luncheon.

First Christian Church, The plant I received for Secretary’s Day is beautiful. Thank you for remembering me. Thank you for your continued faith in my ser-vice to First Christian Church. I continue to trust my faith in our God as he continues blessing my service to this church. Kim Ward

Once again I search for appropriate

words to express our “heartfelt thanks”

to you and to the people at the First

Christian Church for your contribution

of $200. Without your help, and others

like you we would be unable to help

those whom we might consider less

fortunate than we are.

In 2014, Operation Blessing helped 88

different people with rent, food, utilities

and medication expenses. Could we

have done this without you. No!!

Again Thank you,

Esther Norman Operation Blessing

Page 3: Gràsce 謝謝 · ting up tables or chairs, just being there, singing with children, opening a door for children, pointing one of them in the right direction, high-fiving a child,

Thank you to everyone that came out and Speed-

Friended! We had a great turnout with 60 adults and

youth participating! We hope to do more events like

this in the future!

This coming Sunday some of the youth will be per-

forming special music during the 10:30 worship ser-

vice, and hosting a “Cinco De Mayo Celebration”

themed taco fundraiser.

We’re excited to be wrapping up another school year

and heading into summer! Would you consider part-

nering with us over these next few months as a van

driver, preparing meals, or maybe even leading a

small group? There are sign-up sheets in the office if

you’re interested!

Upcoming Plans:

May 3rd – Youth Group Fundraiser in the Big Room follow-

ing 10:30 worship service.

May 6th – Youth Group at Century Park.

If you are interested in attending, chaperoning, or would like

more information about any of these events please call/text

Wade at (405) 385-2584.

Dear Friends,

Thank you for your gift or $600.00 to the Annu-

al Fund...where faith leads. Just to mention an few of

those ways faith leads here at Phillips:

On April 7 and 9, our President, Dr. Gary

Peluso-Verdend gave the homily in our Tuesday and

Thursday services entitled Living Between Good Friday

& Easter.

April 13, at a special service we celebrated the

life and ministry of Dr. Fred Craddock, renowned homi-

list and author. Fred was beloved by many alums and

friends who knew him as a professor at Phillips or have

heard him speak and known him through the years.

On April 14, a holocaust Remembrance Service

was held at a special chapel service.

April 16, world renowned storytellers, Reggie &

Kim Harris, who combine folk, gospel, classical, pop &

Rock music with sparkling wit performed at chapel.

On April 17 and 18, Phillips, OCCJ and Boston

Ave UMC sponsored Tulsa’s Second annual Storytelling

Festival featuring Kim & Reggie Harris, Motoko...a Jap-

anese teller and Kevin Kling, a playwright and storytell-

er.

Without partners like you, First Christian

Church, Perry, OK, Phillips could not change lives in

the meaningful way that it does. Phillips Semi-

nary….where faith leads….

Gratefully,

Virginia Walker Stewardship Director
