    Guideline for Interviewers (individual interviews only)

    Interviews will have to be structured differently regarding to GIP and GCDP, and thus can be

    very different every time.

    COMPETENCIESYou should ask a selection of prudent interview questions to draw out the information that

    you need from the candidates.

    Motivation to go on exchange Ability to deal with tough situation Mature and independent Proactive and positive in the face of challenges Flexibility English language skills

    Hi. I am ____ from AIESEC UCL-SOAS. I will be conducting this interview and it will lastapproximately 30 minutes.

    1. First, I will check the details on your application form with you Type of traineeship: GIP/GCDP 4 types of internships available Which type of internship are you most interested in/have the most

    experience in-Management, Technical, Education, Development

    o Management internships in general business functions(marketing, finance, HR etc.). more interested in

    o Technical internships in IT and engineering.o Development internships focused on community and social

    development.

    o Educational internships focused on teaching others. Period of time they intend to go abroad

    o Any time between Jan September 2013 Preferred starting and ending date

    o April 2013- whenever Country preferences and why How flexible are you in terms of the internship e.g. place, job offered. If

    you cant go to SA where else would you be interested in?

    o Language requirements- looking at your application I can see that you havebeen learning to speak Spanish- what is your level of fluency?

    o YES FLEXIBLE other top choices include Asia, Central America2. Now, I will ask a selection of interview questions to find out more about you, so that

    we can determine how you are suitable for AIESEC, and how AIESEC is suitable for

    you. There is no right or wrong answer, so please share freely with us your ideas and

    thoughts on the questions. We may be taking down notes while you are speaking,

    but rest assured that we are listening to you. Take your time to think through your

    answer, and please ask me to repeat or explain more fully anything you don't

    understand.

    A member from our team will explain how to register on the database and look fortraineeships, and you will also be invited to tutorials.

    1. Selection andApplication after joining and understanding AIESEC, your applicationwill be assessed by a review board of professionals. You will be selected based on

    your education, skills, language certifications and leadership experience.

    2. Matching Your profile will be entered on our on-line database and you will betrained on how to search for jobs that suit your profile. AIESEC will support you

    throughout this process to help you find the most suitable job.

    3. Preparation Once you have accepted a company's offer, AIESEC providesresources, training, and support to prepare you for living and working abroad. We

    take care of all the logistical details from visa processing to cultural preparation.

    4. Integration AIESEC members in your host chapter provide support and assistancein getting you setup while providing opportunities for you to participate incultural,volunteerand social activities.
