Principal’s Message
Dear Parents and Carers
On Tuesday our students attended the Small Schools’ Ath-
letics Carnival at the Tinana Oval. Well done to all of our stu-
dents for getting out there and giving it their best. And a big
congratulations to Ebonie... Age Champion for 9 y/o girls!
Due to a lack of members, our P&C will no longer be func-
tioning as an entity. However, fear not! We see this as an
opportunity as much as it is a challenge. We will be holding
a “Family Coffee Morning” for parents and carers at the start
of every term. This will be an opportunity for our families to
hear about upcoming events, learn about fundraising oppor-
tunities, and let us know how they may wish to help. Partici-
pating parents and carers will also have the opportunity to
consult with us on how Student Council and other fundrais-
ing profits are spent.
How is your child travelling with the Premier’s Reading Chal-
lenge? While P-2 students will be supported at school to record
their progress, Years 3-5 are to record their own reading. Your
support in encouraging your childrens’ continued reading habits
is making a huge difference.
On Tue 22nd June we will be traveling to Maryborough to
enjoy Aldridge State High School’s Beauty and the
Beast Musical. Further information is attached, and permis-
sion slips are due by Wed 16th June.
Things that I am REALLY looking forward to in Term 3:
• Our Welcome Back Breakfast on Monday 12th July. Par-
ents and families are invited to join us for a bite to eat and a
catch up. What a way to begin Term 3!
• Weekly Parades at 2.30pm on Fridays, followed by lolly
bags and other items for sale at the Student Council’s treat
stall!
• STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths)
innovation. We are part of a brilliant network of small
schools, and have received a grant that will allow us to
borrow an immensely engaging STEM kit each term.
Next term we will have access to five Lego robotics sets!
• Our first Family Coffee Morning on Monday 19th July!
• Our new Playgroup kicking off on Tuesday 20th July!
Kind regards
Darren Cameron
Principal
