Preparing For Camp

APPEARANCE & CONDUCT CODE

GWSM Summer Band Camp is a fundamental and conservative program with high standards of excellence in lifestyle and performance objec-tives existing to train youth for local church and Christian school involvement. As such it is pri-marily a Christian music education oppor-tunity and while conducted in a camp type at-mosphere the extra discipline and focus required makes it a bit more intense than the average youth camp experience. Thus, in accordance with generally accepted standards of appropriate-ness governing Christian educational pro-grams as well as that of more formal concert at-tire and to avoid giving offense to those of dif-fering backgrounds the camp appearance and conduct guidelines have been established. It is expected that all staff and students will be in compliance at all times showing deference to the spirit and intent of the stated dress and conduct code. A detailed guide and checklist of items needed is available to assist with camp prepa-ration by visiting www.yaltm.com (Youth & Life Training Ministries).
