This year, City Year New Hampshire was once again designated as a lead service agency for Global Youth Service Day in New Hampshire by Youth Service America. Working together, the volunteers: In Partnership With: Transformed blank and faded blacktops into a colorful and engaging play spaces for students Painted 1 US Map, 1 basketball court, line-up lines, and 4-square courts with bright new colors and inspiraonal quotes on the blacktop Livened up the inside of the school with educaonal quotes and murals Painted a New Hampshire mural, a farmland math mural, a Lorax mural, and 3 addional educaonal murals on hallway walls Revitalized and mulched the outside of the schools to help beaufy their surroundings and planted flowers with students to take home Built and painted furniture to decorate classrooms and play areas for teachers Built and painted: 5 mailboxes, 3 planter boxes, 5 book shelves, 1 equipment box, 1 storage ooman, and stage risers

About Global Youth Service Day:

Every April, more than three million youth across the United States participate in Global Youth Service Day (GYSD), the single largest day of service in the world, focusing national attention on the amazing leadership of young people. This year, City Year New Hampshire was once again designated as a lead service agency for Global Youth Service Day in New Hampshire by Youth Service America.
