H. C . AndersenHans Christian Andersen was born in Odense, in Jylland (The big peninsula in Denmark).

Now you may think: ’Who was he?’. No problem. I’ll tell you:H. C. Andersen was a famous poet and writer. For an eksample, he wrote the story about a little cygnet, who thought that he was a duckling, and the story called; ’The little mermaid’.He also wrote other great and famous stories and poems.

His stories is also famous in our days, and every child in Denmark know who he is.In Copenhagen (our Capital) is there a statue of the little mermaid.

Queen Magrethe 2. of Denmark

Magrethe Alexandrine Thorhildur Ingrid, was born the 16th of april 1940.

Magrethe 2. is the Danish queen. She is Denmarks public image, but she doesn’t resolve

anything in Denmark. We have a democratic form of government. We have a

national parliament in Denmark.

Magrethe is very creative, and designed costumes for a theatre play, about

H. C. Andersen.
