Trips!

One of the greatest parts of being at

the Hab Center is the opportunity to go

on community outings. Sanciana, our

Activites Coordinator, is a pro when it

comes to orchestrating educational

outings that allow clients to learn about

all the job possibilities that are in the

community! Victor S. stated that one of

the reasons that he loves going on

outings is that he enjoys “the learning

experience”. More specifically, Victor

likes learning about “all the different

places in South Florida”. Remember, to

be able to go on outings, be sure to

turn in your permission slips to the re-

ceptionist as soon a possible!

Wars Character “Han

Solo.” He loved the action

and the flying effects in

the movie. In this film ,

you’ll learn how Han Solo

achieved his dream of

becoming a pilot.

Deric would recommend

this film to his friends at

the Hab center and be-

yond!

Warm Welcomes!

Movies with Deric May was a big movie month.

Everything from the Over-

board remake to the highly

anticipated Solo—a Star

Wars prequel was seen by

many. One movie in particu-

lar was a favorite from the

Hab Centers very own Deric

M!

Deric M. came to the center

raving about Solo, the movie

that tells the story of Star

to go to the beach and go swimming, and

spend time with my family.

Sabine: What is your favorite food to cook?

Marguerita: Ackee and Saltfish, the national

dish of Jamaica, Curry chicken and Stew

chicken.

Claire: I look to cook a lot of Thai noodles,

vegetarian stuff, shrimp scampi—my eldest

daughter likes tofu now, so we’re working on

the tofu. (It’s disgusting, it’s like a sponge.) But

my favorite food of all time is pizza, with any-

thing on it. But I order it.

Production welcomed two new faces this

month, and Sabine F. took time to per-

sonally welcome them to the depart-

ment...after they answered a few pressing

questions! Marguerita just joined us, and

Claire has been part of the Hab center

family for almost 4 years!

Sabine: What do you like about your job?

Marguerita: I like assisting people so they

can have a better life, and a better future.

I also like how happy it is.

Claire: I think coming to work with the

clients every day and being around you

guys is the best thing. You guys warm my

heart and make me very happy.

Sabine: What are some things you like to

do?

Marguerita: I like to listen to music, write

poetry, make art, and watch TV.

Claire: I spend time with my 15 month

old baby, and I like to watch scary movies

once everyone goes to sleep. I also like

Angela: I like to work with my

friends.

Yvra: What do you like to do

during your breaks?

Susie: I have a lot of fun talk-

ing with my friends in the café!

Yvra: What do you like to talk

about?

Angela: We talk about

The Hab Center is more than

just a workplace, its also where

people meet their lifelong

friends! Yvra R. had the oppor-

tunity to interview close friends

Susie K. and Angela G. on what

they love about the Hab Center.

Yvra: What is your favorite

part about working at the Hab

Center?

gameshows and T.V.

Susie: We also talk

about music.!

Thank you for taking the

time to answer these

questions!

The Rock, Hulk Hogan, and John

Cena are all names that we hear

frequently at the Hab Center.

These are famous WWE Wrestlers

who are also fan favorites. Friends

Matt H., Julien C., and Garrett R.

love giving recaps of the matches

that they have seen. Bea F. also

proves that wrestling is not just for

the boys! Watching wrestling is a

great way for her to “relieve her

frustration”.
