• To start off the hair style it is important that you split the hair into two sections, the top section should have less hair than the bottom as it will be curled.

• Keep both sections separate and start curling the bottom section, after curling a small bit of hair secure it with the hair pins to ensure the hair cools down in a spiral shape so that the curls don’t drop.

• Once the bottom section is curled start to backcomb the top section to create lots of volume and clip the hair into the shape you want it.

• Curl the rest of the hair that is left over from the backcombed section.

• Then using bits of hair just above the ears either side bring them together and tie them together with a little band to start creating the heart.

• When tying the bits of hair from either side ensure there is space to fold it into itself upwards so that it starts to create a heart shape.

• Then once you have the heart shape split the section of hair into two and create two plaits so that the heart is more visible. It is important that the two plaits are tied together to ensure that the plaits stay in.

• Now take the hair pins out and let the curls out as they will have set by now. Now that the curls are cool they can be manipulated and clipped to reach the backcombed section to make the hairstyle look more intricate and elegant. Also this will magnify the different textures in the hair making the hairstyle more interesting.

• Now all the curls have been clipped up you can secure the plaits in the heart shape hiding the bid of hair left over from the plaits.

• Now the hairstyle is done, you can add the hair adornments to hide any bands or clips showing and the head piece at the front of the hair to complete the look.
