Cut Your Fabric
Measure the dimensions you want the bag to be and add about an inch for seams

Strap
Pin strap right sides together
Sew two sides (not ends)
Trim edges
After turning it right side out - stich down the middle to prevent shifting
Your ready to construct
You’ve put together the pieces but now you need to sew them together. Keep reading :)
Now is when it gets tricky!
Sew the bag together
Sew the top of the flap outer to the inner top flap
Sew strap to the body back of bag outer - inner side down
Note: I sewed outer side down and it was backwards
I used a zig zag stich for the strap
Sew the bottom of the bag together - outers only
All right sides together
Make sure your strap is on the inside of your bag at this point!
You now have your bag sewn with it being end to end sewn as one big tube sort of, get ready to sew up the sides.
Sewing the sides
Sew up the sides, there should only be two layers of fabric for each of these edges
Leave open at the straps for turning
Yes, it does kind of look like you spent a lot of time with no way to make it
work…but…
Carefully and patiently pull your bag right side out through the strap hole
It should look like there are three separate sections here
Outer body
Flap
Inner Body
Sew up the openings at the straps, I used a zig zag stich for this for added
reinforcement
Your done, I fully realize that this could be incomplete and if you have any questions I can do my very best to answer them, just shoot me a PM or ask in the post. This is the first tutorial I’ve ever done :)
