Other updates

• Community Information Meeting, hosted by Local Councillors from the Town of Milton, prior to site plan submission February 24, 2010– Everyone present welcomed the project and believed that it was much needed

– The rents will still be too high for many, particularly older women with limited pension income

– Concern that if hydro costs were not included, rents would not be affordable

– Geothermal should be strongly considered because of operating cost & environmental benefits (Renewable Energy Initiative)

– Interest in whether support services for residents would be coordinated or if they would need to be arranged on an individual basis

• CCAC

• Support agencies
