The budget for the hangover 2 was $80 million however in the weekend of its first release it reached approximately $86 million in the US only. It has also made $581,464,305 in the box offi ce.

The hangover 2 led on from the prequel to it which was ‘hangover’.

The ‘hangover’ was a huge success which was the meaning for a sequel to be made.

Posters. The posters of the characters was released to ensure that the audience knows that they will be returning to a familiar ground that was on the original movie.

The posters include the 5 most well known characters that are in the fi lm

The first trailer that was released didn’t give the audience a lot of information which ensured that the audience waited and watched the full length trailer when it was released.

The first teaser trailer was 1.15 minutes giving fans a sneak preview of what the fi lm entailed.

The offi cial trailer was released after the first teaser trailer to give the audience more information about the fi lm. It was released onto YouTube on 1st April 2011, and was an internet success, the trailer lead on from the prequel to ensure that the audience would love it.

The offi cial website for the fi lm was launched after the first full trailer was released.

The website includes information about the cast and crew that worked on the fi lm also it include production notes from the writers and producers.

The fi lm was advertised on public transport such as taxi’s and buses and also on billboards and posters across many cities.

Adverts were also place on YouTube videos to promote the fi lm and to promote the fi lm to it’s target audience who range from 15 – early 30’s however many people of the target audience still watch the fi lm.

Publicity was produced through the premier even which was held in Leicester Square in London on the 25 th may 2011.

Some media interest comes from the success of the original fi lm ‘the hangover’.

Some unwanted media attention came from the fi lm as a lawsuit was taken out against warner brothers because of a tattoo on the characters Stu’s face the lawsuit was taken out the tattoo had originally been copyrighted as it is the same tattoo as Mike Tyson.
