WELL KNOWN COMPANIES?

Warner Brothers is a well known film production company making

many big hits over the years for example ‘The Dark Knight’ and

‘Inception’.

Over the last few years Blum House Productions have produced

many well known low budget films for example ‘Insidious’ one and

two. However they are still not as well known as the bigger companies

such as Warner Brothers.

DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE

HIGH AND LOW BUDGET FIL M

The high budget film (Hangover) was made by a huge cooperation,

who is well known and highly rated within the industry with high paid

actors/actresses they would make more money.

The low budget film (Paranormal Activity) is made by a smaller

company who is less well known although they have made a killing at the

box office with certain films not all of the are successful due to the

unknown actors and unknown name hence why they don’t make as much

money compared to larger corporations.

Most Warner Brother films are very successful however ‘Beautiful

‘Creatures was not a smash hit at the box office only making

$19,452,138. A considerable loss with its $60 million budget. It is

possible that the target audience was as interested as hoped, it could

be due to the casting or an unbelievable story line, although breaking

even eventually its obvious that this film was a big mistake for Warner

Brothers.
