In October, we honored Ann Blumberg with a retirement reception. The line extended out the door, as so many friends arrived to wish her well! It was a heartfelt tribute to a fabulous woman. Ann says, “It has been my pleasure over the last 14 ½ years to start Select 50 and watch it grow into a premier bank club in the Midwest. I want to give a huge thank you to everyone who attended the reception and all the well-wishers who sent cards.” We love you and will miss you, Ann!

Just a few days later, we boarded a motor coach for our 5-day mystery trip to … Wisconsin! We had a wonderful time exploring the capitol building in Madison, visiting exciting places in Milwaukee, attending two amazing shows and enjoying a boat ride in Lake Geneva. We also defied gravity

in Shullsburg. As usual, the dining and shopping were spectacular!

In November, we journeyed south to Peru, Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. This was not a trip for the faint of heart! We climbed the amazing Machu Picchu, rode a train to Aguas Calientes, went kayaking in the waters of the Galapagos, and from Zodiac boats, we viewed all the wildlife of the islands. Lima, Cusco, the Sacred Valley, the ruins of Ollantaytambo and Quito are all simply breathtaking! We have an incredible family of travelers. We love sharing their excitement and experiences!

We wrapped up 2019 with an evening holiday light tour of the surrounding neighborhoods, followed by homemade treats and live music at our White Birch location. A jolly time was had by all!!

Happenings

Welcome to a new year and a new decade! This is an ideal time to reflect on happy memories of the past year and look forward to an exciting 2020. We would like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU for your continued patronage and friendship!

Angela hosted her sons for Thanksgiving and spent a fun Christmas Eve with friends playing games. She spent time with her family again on Christmas Day and made her famous pasta!

Karla traveled to Omaha to enjoy Thanksgiving with extended family, and spent Christmas in Des Moines with her youngest daughter, Christine. Her middle daughter, Sarah, graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in December – mom is so proud!
