Eucharistic Adoration

Hour of Power We are so fortunate at Sacred Heart to have Eucharistic

Adoration every Tuesday from 8:00 am to 6:45 pm conclud-

ing with a 7:00 pm Mass. Beginning in late August, we

hope to extend Adoration hours until 9:00 pm.

Why not stop in for any length of time and discover the

“hidden treasure” of spending quiet time with Jesus. “You

can learn more in a hour of silence than you can in a year

from books. Many of us are afraid of the silence, but we need

silence and solitude to sit with God and work out who we

are, what we are here for, what matters most, and what mat-

ters least, so that we can make great decisions.”

(Excerpt taken from Chapter 40 of Matthew Kelly’s book,

Rediscover Jesus.)

We are in need of scheduled adorers for

8:00 am, 10:00 am and 8:15 pm.

If you are interested in becoming an adorer, please call Jo-

ann Di Liberto at 610.932.8962, or complete a contact form

and leave it in the grey Eucharistic Adoration Box in the

Narthex (next to the Sacred Heart statue) and Joann will

contact you.

a moral obligation.” www.faithfulcitizenship.org

The WOW and the WOE of the Psalms A 24-hour Women’s Retreat

Directed by Sr. Sheila Galligan, IHM September 21-22

The retreat will provide some clues and cues for understanding, appreciating and praying the Psalms in the ups, downs and in-betweens of life! The Psalms provide timely, timeless prayer-poems that spring from the raw materials that we call human life! From the most euphoric moments of celebration and joy (“Sing to the Lord a New Song” Psalm 96:1) to the most crushing mo-ments of anguish and anger (“I am so weary with groaning I drench my couch with my tears” Psalm 6:6) the Psalms speak eloquently. Registration at: Malvernretreat.com/register or call 610-644-0400
