Dear Friends, Congratulations to Mary Wahlberg (10Years) and Paul Prudhomme (15 Years) who were recently honored at Pius X Dinner Awards in San Francisco for teaching in our Religious Education Program here at OLL. Thank you, Mary and Paul, for a job well done. Congratulations are also in order to Bill and Jean Gross as they cel-ebrate their 70th Wedding anniversary on Sunday, May 28th. You are an example to all of us of what marriage is all about.
Al Olivier’s Memorial Mass will be on Tuesday, May 23rd, at 11am. Unfortunately, Pat, Al’s wife, will not be joining us, but she does send us her thanks for having this Mass. Please join us on May 23rd as we honor this long time parishioner. 40 children in our Religious Ed Program received their First Holy Communion last Saturday. Congratulations! Hope to see you and your parents in Church. Have a Great Easter Week! Father Brian

THE WAY Today we sense the apostles’ trepida-tion as they begin to realize that the Lord would soon be leaving them. In their fear,
they ask, “Master, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?” (John 14:5). Jesus tells them that he is the way. The Easter season has been a time of growing in Easter faith so that we, too, may learn to know that Jesus is the way. We can take comfort in the Lord’s promise that he is going to his Father’s house to prepare a place for us, his chosen people who have been called out of darkness into God’s won-derful light. As the paschal candle continues to burn during this holy season, let us re-member that in baptism we were given the light of Christ. With Christ our light as the beacon lighting our way, let us march toward the glory of Pentecost.

(Juan 14:5).
--Fray Gilberto Cavazos-Glz, OFM, Copyright (c) J. S. Paluch Co., Inc
