HAWC+instrument:status

•  Overall,CommissioningPart1wassuccessful.–  AllsubsystemsfuncGonalandnowdemonstratedinflight.–  Allprimaryobservingmodesexercised,withdatanowinhand.

•  However,asignificantproblemwiththe<1KcoolerwillrequirefurtherworkoninstrumentbeforeCommissioningPart2.–  VibraGonduringobservingcondiGonsisthecause,producingexcess0.2mWon

cooler(AdiabaGcDemagneGzaGonRefrigerator).–  CoolerholdGmewasinsufficientforfullSOFIAflight.–  Detectorbasetemperaturewashigh(~250mKvs.planned~150mK)andstrongly

variable,whichcomplicatesthescienceanalysis.–  Coolingproblemissolvable,butwillrequire~2monthsofworkoninstrument.
