T he vision for Christ to the World Ministries. SIMPLY PUT: To take the gospel of Christ to people everywhere, in ways they can understand, where they live. Jesus said : ‘MAKE DISCIPLES OF ALL NATIONS’. This is our compass. We continue to ex- pand the sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ t through the drama stories of Jesus; straightforward, easy-to-understand Bible study guides; and other oral discipleship programs. Prayer is the greatest power God has put into our hands for service and is the dynamic that advances the kingdom and this Ministry. It is our true power source. My heartfelt appreciation to all on our Ministry team, prayer partners and to those who have laid up their treasures supporting this direct effort to reach many for Christ. Your hand is on the net being cast far and wide in the name of Jesus. We are currently broadcasting the drama stories of Jesus in 18 countries across Asia, Far Eastern Europe and the Middle East representing a population of 3 billion people. China, Indone- sia, Russia, Korea, Cambodia, Mongolia, Pakistan, India, and many of the former Russian controlled countries are listening and responding to the Gospel stories of Jesus. Although space will not allow for updates of our outreach in all countries, this issue of Mission Update will overview our expansion throughout Asia and share our pre-evangelism outreach plans to Arab cul- tures, specifically to Muslims in Asia, Middle East and North Africa. Muslims account for over 1.2 billion people, thought to be the largest religious population on earth. They represent the fastest growth rate throughout much of the world. This is startling. As Christians whose desire is to share the relevance of Christ Jesus with all the Muslim nations, it is important to recognize the significance of developing programs that do not wander theologically yet have the freshness to still mentally view things from a culturally Muslim perspective; And address the ways for following Jesus that resonate to the heartbeat of the listening and viewing audience. We are develop- ing a special crafted drama curriculum for this purpose, working with one of the best Christian schol- ars whose years of experience in the Middle East and first-hand knowledge of living in Arab culture will yield great dividends for our Ministry’s outreach and witness to Muslims throughout the world. Through this special relationship we anticipate a drama program series that incorporates every day Arab life, culture and conflict. The programs incorporate the wisdom of the Old Testament and the teachings of Jesus. We will have an Arab-Christian team writing this special series for televi-sion and radio. Pray that the Lord leads us in this vast undertaking.

PHILIPPINES: We have begun outreach into this diverse country of multiple religions and cultures. Our new relationship with broadcasting partner FEBC-Philippines was made official this week with the signing of our agreements to translate, produce and broadcast the drama and oral programs of the Life of Christ program series. We believe many people will come to a closer relationship with Jesus, and that many people will come to accept Jesus as their personal Savior. We have been informed that our initial listening audience is 20 million plus. Please join me in prayer that we will be able to meet the financial needs.

INDIA: PRODUCTION OF DRAMA PROGRAMS IN ENGLISH. This is our 5th language group being produced in India. Broadcasting in the state of Karnataka and in the city of Goa will reach millions of people. Indian Christians

often refer to Goa as the ‘sin city’ of India. Goa recently surpassed Cambodia for child sex abuse and in the killing children for their organs. We anticipate our first broacast to begin September 6th and weekly thereafter. I am very encouraged by the results of the programs through-out India. The effective follow-up and discipleship with new believers is making a difference. Our Indian Christian broad-casting partners are very involved with new believers, both one-on-one and with ‘group seeker

conventions’ which is proving a very effective discipling strategy.

EGYPT: We have completed the drama pilot programs from Cairo in Arabic colloquial, that is widely understood. We will be evaluating the programs with people across the Middle East before going into full production, but by late fall of this year I expect we will be fully underway. For many Arabs this will be the first time they hear the stories of the Life of Jesus Christ in a drama format.

PAKISTAN In spite of difficult conditons and threats from terrorists, we continue to air the stories of Jesus weekly. The calls and messages from listeners speak of their hope. As Jesus addressed the human condition 2000 years ago, these stories are still relevant today and are changing lives.

Larry Alston

It is a real privilege to be a part of a Ministry which shares the Gospel of Christ throughout the world. Your prayers and generous financial support will allow you to be a part of this ministry. All of your donation goes directly to fund production costs. I hope all who give to Christ to the World will receive a blessing. In His Name,
