Advantages of water heating with a heat pumpIn addition to central heating, the heating of domestic hot water is the second largest expense in a household budget. after 25 years of market presence, it has now become completely self-evident that domestic hot water heating by means of a heat pump is by far the most economical solution. the comparison of costs for tap water heating (for an average family) with different energy products clearly confirms the above statement in every respect. solar panels (sp) may be compared to the cheapest way of heating tap water, but only if installed in an ideal position. However, this only holds true until we compare both investments. the investment in solar panels is normally twice as big as the investment in a tap water heat pump.

REducE THE cOSTS Of TAP WATERHEATINg by 4-TIMES

Why should we use a heat pump for tap water heating?1. Cost savings in heating are increased by at least four times.2. the most eco-friendly way of heating tap water – CO2 emissions are reduced by over 62%.3. Really short reimbursement period of the investment (6 to 7 years) – if we exclude the costs of the water heater, which

we need in any case, then the reimbursement period is even shorter.4. In addition to tap water heating, we also get the possibility of cooling smaller spaces, cellars or storage rooms, free of

charge.5. the possibility to use the heat pump throughout the entire year and to connect it to any heating boiler, since all heat

pumps have an additional built-in tube heat exchanger. the combination with a wood or biomass stove is particularly popular, because in the summer heat it is very inconvenient to burn wood. It is much more convenient to simply use a heat pump to warm up water.

6. In comparison to the solar panels, the investment in a heat pump is half as big, warm water is provided throughout the whole year, irrespective of the season, and there are no particular difficulties with the installation and maintenance.

7. the purchase of a heat pump is often subsidized by the state, which means that the investment is even more favourable and is refunded even sooner.

Continuous development, over two decades of market presence and consideration of the consumers‘ wishes made us realize that what was good only a few years ago, today is not sufficient anymore. Now even the most basic types have numerous advantages and great built-in equipment.

built-in equipment:

dE – TubE LARgE-SuRfAcE cONdENSERexternal large-surface condenser is wound around the outer side of the tank and enables a faster and more even water heating. It prevents the accumulation of lime scale, because a much larger surface is heated and therefore smaller temperature differences are necessary. Indirect heating also prevents leakage of the refrigerant into the tap water. During the production, the pipe system is filled with nitrogen, which prevents impurities and moisture to break into the cooling system and this is in fact the basis for a long lifespan of a heat pump

XL - OPTI EvAPORATORevaporator with enlarged fin spacing, enlarged surface and optimal refrigerant distribution enables an effective operation even at low temperatures.

ENAMEL - c - 850Do you still remember the enamelled pots, which were practically indestructible and could only be damaged mechanically (e.g. fall on the floor)? For hot water tanks this is the most high quality and durable protection. In europe, almost 90% of all hot water tanks sold in 2011 were coated with enamel. enamel is en entirely natural material. When the enamel coated surfaces are fired (at 850°C), the enamel fuses with the basic sheet metal into a smooth and uniform coating.

HEAT EXcHANgERan extra built-in tube heat exchanger, integrated in all water heaters (except 100 l), enables the use of a secondary heating source, e.g. boiler (wood, oil, gas, biomass) or the connection of solar panels. solar heat pumps even have two integrated heat exchangers.

vARIO - TEXthermostatic expansion valve. the heat pump has to operate in extreme and changeable conditions, since the water temperature ranges from 10 to 60°C. the temperature of the ambient air varies as well. tXV enables a fast adaptation to such conditions and represents at the same time the basis for an increased efficiency.

Mg - PROTEcTa built- in mg anode, dimensioned according to eN standards, provides a complete anti-corrosion protection of the hot water tank. the entire inside surface of the water heater and the heat exchanger are protected with high quality enamel. However, if by any chance a small part of the enamel coating is damaged, the magnesium immediately protects the damaged surface.

SuPERIOR QuALITy ANd buILT-INTOP EQuIPMENT

Rc – ROTARy cOMPRESSORHighly efficient rotary compressor was developed especially for tap water heat pumps. Compared to piston compressors, the energy efficiency of rotary compressors is over 30% higher. What is more, the very construction of the rotor guarantees still operation and a faultless start-up even after several months of stand-by mode.

the latest versions of heat pumps with air duct are designed precisely for wall installation. the applicability of heat pumps thus extended to virtually all possible fields of use. they are also the only substitution for small capacity electric water heaters. such versions are suitable in the following cases:

• For installation inside houses: in a bathroom, storage room or any other room, from which heat can be recovered directly or it can be recovered from an adjoining room. the cooled air can be discharged into the surroundings during winter or channelled back into the room during summer.

• For all families of up to 4 members• For installation in houses, where otherwise long hot water and circulation

pipework would be necessary.• For installation in apartments and holiday houses.• Wall-mounted versions – simple installation, little space is necessary.• Ducted air – enables suction of the inlet air from different spaces and outlet of

the cooled air back into the same spaces or into the surroundings.• In the summer, the heat pump provides the cooling of spaces and by exploiting

waste heat during winter it enables the ventilation of spaces and elimination of moisture.

• external large-surface condenser is placed on the outer side of the water tank, thus preventing the accumulation of limescale on heating elements and ensuring a long lifespan and a long-lasting efficiency, without unnecessary cleaning of the condenser.

• Highly efficient rotary compressor enables a fast and silent operation; in connection with other elements, it also guarantees high energy efficiency.

• Hp heat capacity = 1 kW.• extra built-in 1,5 kW electric heater.• automatic, energy-saving anti-legionella programme for the overheating of

water with the compressor.• Fast programme for tap water heating with the compressor + electric heater.• possible connection of air ducts: left, right and on top.• Versions with defrost function enable the recovery of the ambient air even during

winter.• Digital display of the temperature and set parameters.• microprocessor regulation with a wide choice of different programmes.

Why is a heat pump the best choice for space heating?

Savings are our top priorityHeat pumps for space and tap water heating have numerous advantages. the most important advantage, however, is the fact that by using a heat pump the heating costs can be significantly reduced – depending on which energy source they are compared to. see the following diagram.

AdvANTAgES Of HEAT PuMPS fOR SPAcE HEATINg

Eco-friendly operationHeating with fossil fuels (oil, gas) causes an enormous quantity of dangerous and harmful emissions, such as sulphur dioxide (sO2), carbon dioxide (CO2), soot, etc. all harmful emissions, especially CO2, encourage and increase the greenhouse effect, which is substantially altering our climatic conditions. Consequently, hailstorms, floods, long-lasting periods of heat and drought, colder or warmer winters, etc are more and more frequent. to preserve our environment for future generations, we must think in advance and consider the future today by gradually reducing the release of emissions into the atmosphere. By using heat pumps we are able to make one step forward, since they are one of the most ecological heating systems.Eine gesicherte Zukunftthe energy that is needed for a heat pump is right outside your door in the surrounding area, while other, standard energy sources like oil and gas are further away and depend on world crises of the economic systems. those sources are limited by their quantity and accordingly, with the reduction of supplies, the prices of these energy sources constantly grow. a heat pump, on the other hand, assures you safe future by exploiting the energy from purely natural sources and, above all, guarantees acceptable costs.

Reference buildingHeating area: 200 m2

annual energy consumption: 22.600 kWhNumber of persons: 4prices on 10 February 2015Heating costs of the reference building withdifferent heating systems (in euR/year)

Heat is the source of comfortWith the classic radiator heating we heat the indoor air, while the floor and wall heating warm up the body. If floor heating is combined with a heat pump, we can achieve a pleasant, warm feeling already at a 2°C lower temperature. Lower temperature means, of course, that the heat necessities are reduced by 5 to 8 %, which additionally increases your savings. since the operation of heat pumps is almost soundless, you can easily indulge in the new comfort.

No extra cleaning or acquiring of spaceBy installing a heat pump, worries about oil or gas supply are gone forever. You will never have to clean your furnace or stove again, or measure emissions. Only a regular yearly inspection of the system is recommendable, carried out by our experts. the installation is also very simple, since only a smaller room is necessary for the placement of the heat pump and no chimney.

cooling in hot daysCertain types of heat pumps also enable the cooling of spaces. all air-source heat pumps are available in reversible version and enable space cooling. Water-source and ground-source heat pumps have a passive cooling station for space cooling, where energy is only needed for the operation of the circulation pump.

Subsidized purchaseDue to numerous advantages, most countries allocate subventions for the purchase of such heating systems. the investment costs therefore generally do not exceed the costs for the purchase of comparable, classical heating systems. By the help of such support, it is possible to buy such heating system with the savings from the heating alone.

Advantages of air/water heat pumps:• compared to systems ground/water and water/water, low investment costs

are crucial, since there is no need to build a primary system (a collector or wells)

• a simple and inexpensive installment and further maintenance of the system (all parts are easy to get)

• a small room required for the system and its installments• no special licenses required for the building

the heat of the air is immense!

Even cold air is full of energy the air is an inexhaustible source of energy and it can be found everywhere. the latest versions of air/water heat pumps allow the heating at an outside air temperature of -25°C. even at a very low air temperature the COp is still higher than 2, which represents 50% of energy savings. there is no need to bore a well or to install a horizontal collector; therefore these types of pumps are the cheapest. even the installation and maintenance are easy and inexpensive. according to statistic data about temperature changes, it can be concluded that there are only few days with the temperature below -5°C, which means that the annual performance factor of these pumps is above 3.5.Recommended ways of building a heating systemthese types of heat pumps are usually planed in such a way that they alone cover all the heat losses of a building up to -5°C of the outside air temperature. Below this limit, the heat pump can work together with another heat source. more than 98% of heat needs are covered in such a way. as another heat source, an electric heater is usually used in new buildings, yet in existing buildings with a good conventional heat source only this can be used. an electric control system enables a simple positioning of a bivalent point – this is the point of switching to another heat source.

When radiators are not a problem anymore!

Living in a house with a conventional heating system (oil, heating gas, etc.) makes you aware of high heating costs. If you are able to reduce these costs for more than 50% while heating with heat pumps, then you will use this opportunity for sure.

You might have heard that this is impossible, if you heat your house with radiators. Yet this is not the case. all you have to do is to choose a suitable heat pump. High-temperature heat pumps, reaching the temperatures of the inlet water higher than 65°C that are suitable for houses with radiators. It is true that the efficiency of heat pumps at such high temperatures is somewhat lower, however, you do not need to heat so much, since you have an integrated weather-controlled regulation, adjusting the necessary water temperature according to the outside air temperature. thi

One system for the entire house!

to reach the optimum temperature and economical heating in a house, it is significant to have a regulation covering all the functions of heating system plus a very good heat pump and the whole heating system. this function is excellently fulfilled by a new modular regulation teRmOtRONIC 3000.

THE REguLATION TERMOTRONIc 3000

With an additional module the following functions are at disposal:

A simple regulation with the TERMOTRONIc 3000 control system

KRONOTERM KT-1 and KT–2 room thermostatFunctions: • measuring and display of room temperature • setting of the target room temperature • Display of the heating circuit operational status • activation/deactivation of heating circuits

Advantages: • adjustment of the heating water to the space heating needs • separate thermostat for each heating circuit • the heat pump always calculates the optimal flow temperature

according to the needs of individual heating circuits, ensuring the maximum efficiency in a given moment
