SAFE WORK
Due to the nature of our activities and the geographical location of our projects, we are exposed to different risks related to the safety and health of our employees and subcontractors. Therefore, we have a two-pronged risk prevention system:
n Through our management system and procedures.
n Through training and preventative culture.
n Our Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (OHSE) Management System is based on the ISO-14001 and OHSAS-18001 standards.
n Corporate OHSE specialist teams provide support to each of our projects.
n We use the TapRoot systematic process to investigate incidents, determine root causes and develop effective sustaining controls.

I’m from the Province of Cajabamba. I participated in the second Basic Operational Formation (FOB), and I was trained in the operation of the Volvo FMX Tip Truck for the Shahuindo Project in 2015. I want to thank STRACON GyM for giving me the opportunity to be trained and to change my life style, as this has helped me in an economic and practical sense, and to develop my knowledge on a daily basis. I hope the company continues providing training to more employees and that they can benefit from this.

WE ARE COMMITTED TO THE COMMUNITIES
I started working as a labourer as soon as the Constancia Project started, so I know all the engineers and workers who have worked here and who are still here with us. I’m also familiar with all the work that is conducted at the mine and I like it. I’ve always wanted to grow professionally and I looked for opportunities to do so; as soon as there was an announcement for an opportunity to learn to operate equipment, I enrolled and I was one of the persons selected by STRACON GyM to take part in the training. I am now an operator, a world-class operator.
