EAST HEDLEYHOPE PARISH COUNCILMINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE 23RD FEBRUARY 2016

Held at the Village Hall, East Hedley Hope.

4) Actions arising from the previous meeting:

NoticeboardSW informed the council that the Payphone situated on Village Green had been disconnected. SW rang BT regarding this and seemingly there was a notice period served stating this, however, this was posted in the telephone box so nobody was aware. BT asked if the Parish Council/Community Association would be interested in having the telephone kiosk once it had been discounted for £1. It was agreed that the Community Association would and as there was a magnetic board already in the telephone box phone it would be converted into a noticeboard once it had been disconnected.

AAP – Possible Funding Available for Village HallA meeting took place with members of the AAP, County Councillors and S. Woodroffe, the Village Hall was discussed and everyone was made aware of the repairs it needed. Andy Coulthard advised having an inception study done on the roof before any repairs were carried out, he has written to Katherine Beattie at Durham County Council who will arrange this.

5) Business Items

The possible transfer of the lease for the Nature Reserve from the Community Association to the Parish Council was discussed and it was decided that JB was to contact Zurich to find out how much it was cost to add this to the Parish Council’s existing policy. Once this cost was known then a decision could be made.

6) Clerks Report Fire Extinguisher Check

999 Fire & Safety tested and replaced extinguishers where needed.
