The scent of roasted almonds wafts through the alleys of the Old Town and handicrafts and winter delicacies are peddled in enchanting little wooden stalls – the Heidelberg Christmas Market with its 140 individ-ual huts is one of the most beautiful Christmas markets in Germany. Embedded in the Old Town, overlooked by the world famous Castle, the Christmas Market stretches across six historic squares.
