launch national programme to promote children and young

Children struggling with mental health in central Lancashire are to benefit from better
services and support as a major national initiative was rolled out from January 2020.
The Link Programme is a national programme which aims to help health and education
professionals to work more closely together so that children get the help they need, when
they need it.

invited to attend as part of a drive to provide timely and appropriate support to children and
young people.
Led by the Anna Freud Centre, and funded by the Department for Education, the Link

colleges understand when children and young people need support and to refer them as
soon as their needs are identified.

The Children and Young People’s Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health Transformation
Programme requested the development of an inclusive website that meets the needs and
requirements of all the target audiences, including children and young people,
professionals and parents/carers and families. The intention was to build an interactive
website that is easy to find and navigate and to provide a one-stop shop for everything
linked to improving and maintaining children and young people’s (CYP) emotional
wellbeing and mental health across Lancashire and South Cumbria. Our website, called
Healthy Young Minds, already has a functional professionals' section and work with
