Hello Year 7!• My name is Miss Gardiner and I am a teacher of History and Politics. • I have been teaching for 6 years, but I will be new to Lord Williams’s in

September too!• I have been a Year 7 tutor for the last 4 years, so I know how scary it

can be to start at a new school with new people. For the first few weeks, our priorities will therefore be to make sure we:• Support each other to make sure that everyone feels happy and settled• Spend some time getting to know each other, sharing interests and hobbies• Understand the school rules and policies• See that everyone tries their best in lessons, and feels comfortable to ask if

they need help!

A bit about me:• I really love History, (which is part of the reason that I

became a teacher!) and spend a lot of time reading about different historical events. My favourite historical topics tend to be 20th Century ones – I find the Russian Revolution and Cold War fascinating.

• I like all animals – I currently look after a gecko named Bernard and a cat named Jean.

• Most of my hobbies are arts and crafts based – I like to draw in my spare time, as well as sew. Sometimes I attempt to upcycle old furniture in the holidays but it doesn’t always turn out as planned!

• I used to play football quite a lot when I was younger, but now I mostly just watch it on the TV at the weekend!

• Jurassic Park is my favourite film, but I’m also a huge Disney fan.

• I’m looking forward to hearing all about you, your hobbies and interests in September!
