Paintback SchemePaint is now accepted at Windmill Hill Transfer Station under the Paintback Scheme.

Windmill Hill Transfer StationThis facility provides a convenient service for the disposal and recycling of a broad range of materials to residents and businesses. Windmill Hill Salvage and Save are adjacent to this facility and accept a range of salvageable goods, preventing them from ending up in landfill and harming the environment. Reduce your wasteCollect your food scraps in compostable bags and place them into your green bin to reduce waste to landfill. Bags are available to collect from Council’s office for eligible properties during office hours (9am-5pm).

There are no collections on Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Good Friday or Catastrophic Fire Days. On these days and the remaining days of those weeks, collections will occur a day later than your usual collection day.

TOWNSHIP residents have a 3 bin service (blue, yellow & green). RURAL/COMMERCIAL residents have a 2 bin service (blue & yellow). Refer to both the collection calendar and map to determine your collection day & zone.

South Australians are the best recyclers in the nation, but we can still do better. Placing incorrect items in the recycling bin causes problems during the sorting of recyclables, as well as decreasing the ability of the item to be recycled into a new product.
