ENGINEERING PROJECTS:
Undergraduate:
Electromagnet Based Space Shuttle Launcher. Fall 2014 It is based on the principle of electromagnetic field created around iron coils connected in series. Iron coils are wounded
around a pipe & iron core is placed inside it. The pipe is inclined at various angles for maximum distance coverage. As
current flows through coils for 25 milliseconds, electromagnetic field is generated which attracts the iron core towards it
& accelerates it & so does the other coils in series. This field of attraction by all coils each for 25ms boosts up the iron
core & the iron core is launched with very high speed.
Automatic street light using IC 555 Fall 2013
Street light goes off in day and turns on at night using LDR and IC 555. The output goes high when the trigger pin has
voltage less than 1/3rd of supply and goes low when the trigger has voltage greater than 1/3rd of the supply. Variable
resistance is so adjusted that it crosses potential of 1/3rd in brightness and fall below 1/3rd in darkness, which also
