HEW-Silindo® – The Biocompatible Silicone Cable without Stick-Slip Effect

Thanks to the Silindo® surface developed by HEW-KABEL, the conventional silicone haptics have been significantly improved. The result: “sticking” is sustainably prevented. This surface property is retained even after more than five hundred autoclave cycles. HEW-Silindo® contains no foreign material within the silicone or on the surface, making it superior to comparable solutions.

Durch die von HEW-KABEL entwickelte Silindo®-Oberfläche wird die herkömmliche Silikonhaptik dauerhaft verbessert. Das Ergebnis: Ein „Klebenbleiben“ wird nachhaltig verhindert. Spezielle Materialien, clevere Designs und innovative Produk- tionsverfahren ermöglichen miniaturisierte Low Noise Kabel, die triboelektrisches und mikrofonisches Rauschen auf ein Minimum reduzieren.

OP-RobotikIn den zuverlässigen Spezialleitungen für OP-Roboter vereint HEW-KABEL die Erfahrung aus der Robotik mit den besonderen Anforderungen der Medizintechnik. Kabelaufbauten orientieren sich an den mechanischen Ein- flüssen wie Zug oder Torsion. Zusätzlich werden die Leitungen für den Einsatz in der Medizintechnik optimiert. Hochflexible und biokompatible Leitungen kombinieren Lichtwellenleiter, Koax-Elemente, Einzeladern und Zugentlastung. HEW-Silindo® sorgt für eine geschmeidige Oberfläche und ermöglicht mehr als fünfhundert Sterilisationszyklen.

Bildgebende Diagnostik Innovative Verfahren der bildgebenden Diagnostik ermöglichen immer detailgetreuere Aufnahmen. Hocheffiziente und flexible Flachleitungen führen zu brillanten Ergebnissen. Hochbiege-feste Konstruktionen mit mehreren Millionen Biegezyklen und UL-Zulassung sorgen für eine überdurchschnittliche Zuverlässigkeit und mechanische Beständigkeit. Die simultane Übertragung verschiedenster Medien und Signale wird durch die Kombination aus Lichtwellenleitern, Schläuchen und elektrischen Leitern ermöglicht.

DentaltechnikMedizintechnische Anwendungen stellen besondere Anfor-derungen an das Kabeldesign. Spezielle Legierungen und Werkstoffe ermöglichen eine anwendungsoptimierte Haptik, Sterilisierbarkeit oder Biokompatibilität, z. B. Zytotoxizität nach DIN EN ISO 10993-5. Hybride Anschlussleitungen für dentalmedizinische Geräte oder Zahnarztstühle kombinieren elektrische Anschlüsse, Wasserversorgung oder Luftzufuhr, z. B. durch eingebaute PTFE-Schläuche.

Patient MonitoringModern patient monitoring systems require high-quality signals. Mechanical influences on the connecting lead (friction, torsion, vibration) may cause significant interfering signals and affects the signal quality negatively.Special materials, smart designs and innovative production processes result in miniaturized low-noise cables, which reduce tribo-electric and microphone noise to a minimum.

Surgical RoboticsIn the reliable special cables for surgical robotics, HEW-KABEL combines its experience from robotics to the spec particularly stringent requirements of medical technology.Cable constructions take due account of mechanical stresses like tension or torsion. In addition, the cables have been optimized for use in medical applications. Ultra-flexible and bio-compatible cables combine optical fibers, coaxial elements, individual cores and strain relief.HEW-Silindo® assures a supple surface and can cope with more than five hundred sterilization cycles.

Diagnostic ImagingInnovative day processes for diagnostic imaging are ensuring progressively more reliable images. Ultra-efficient, flexible flat cables deliver brilliant results. High-bending-strength designs with several million bending cycles and UL ap- proval assure above-average dependability and mechanical sturdiness.The combination of fiber-optic cables, tubes and electrical conductors enable various media and signals to be transmitted simultaneously.

Dental Technology

Medical-technology applications pose particularly stringent requirements for the cable design involved. Special alloys and materials assure application-optimized haptics, sterilizability or bio-compatibility, e.g. cyto-toxicity in conformity with DIN EN ISO 10993-5.Hybrid connecting leads for dental-technology equipment or dentist’s chairs combine power connections and water or air supply, e.g. through integrated PTFE tubes.
