Born from the tireless commitment of first responders around the world, HexArmor® is honored to present the EXT Rescue™ line of extrication gloves. These are tools created by you; those with the courage to sacrifice everything, who serve with honor, who protect with vigilant dedication. You do the job that no one else can do. You helped HexArmor® build the glove for that job.

When we took on the mission of creating the world’s safest rescue glove, we knew we couldn’t do it alone. Building the perfect safety glove for the toughest first responders takes a lot of work; so we put it back on the hardest workers we know. We went out and asked the heroes in the field what they needed out of their rescue gloves. It’s a good thing we did; they helped us create a line of products that we are proud to call the HexArmor® EXT Rescue™ Series.

It was clear what was expected of us; our first responders needed gloves that were durable enough to withstand tough treatment, without being stiff, bulky, or uncomfortable. We needed to incorporate our industry-leading cut and impact defenses, and provide the dexterity and flexibility necessary to take vital action. Three gloves were created with these purposes in mind, and each glove is a testament to the commitment of our first responders; while they keep us safe, now they too can stay safe.

The most advanced HexArmor® impact resistance comes with all the dexterity, all the comfort, and more protection than offered by any other impact-protective glove on the market. Our proprietary IR-X® technology shields our gloves with a full back-of-hand exoskeleton, so every joint and knuckle is protected from debilitating blows. In addition to being 42% taller than competitive impact guards, IR-X® smash guards are purpose-built to deflect the force of sudden impacts away from the impact point, rather than transferring force directly to the hand. This unique characteristic is what sets IR-X® safety levels higher than the competition, and its flexibility is what makes the IR-X® exoskeleton more comfortable and more dexterous than any other impact-resistant technology available.

ASTM D2632-01 Resilience by Vertical Rebound in Testing

Resiliency of a material can be described as its ability to absorb and release energy elastically, rather than simply transferring energy directly through the material. The lower the tested resiliency value, the more energy is transferred through the material and into the hand during an impact blow.

The test results show that IR-X® products possess a significantly higher resiliency value than the nearest competitor, at 33% resiliency. The lowest competitor offered less than half the resiliency value of the IR-X® products.

Above all else, an extrication glove must be tough. Built to last through countless difficult missions, the EXT Rescue™ 4011 is the strongest, most dependable rescue safety glove available. We armed this glove with our improved IR-X® Impact Exoskeleton™ and an ISEA Level 5 cut-resistant palm, reinforced with our proprietary TP-X® technology for added durability and grip. We also double-stitched all exterior and interior seams and added a 2.5” Airprene™ Velcro® cuff, so this glove fits as well as it lasts.
