-=The future of the Heathen Front?=-

    By Mattias L.

    1.1 -Background-

Those of us that have been active in the Heathen Front throughout the years, have all spent a considerableamount of time, efforts and in many cases even personal funds for the good of our cause. Some of us have beenput into various kinds of inconveniences due to their activism, raging from all between suffering family relations tophysical assault and harassment from the Secret Police etc.

Even though we all tried hard, we never really reached the goals we set up. Lack of funds, lack of spare time, lacking skills/knowledge/routine and people suddenly leaving key positions without notice and no volunteers topick up their or other important/urgent tasks; all of this made the workload far too heavy for a far too small numberof people. What was successfully achieved could sometimes be seen disappear before our eyes in just a short

moment. The last few years, the contact between the people inside the HF has been just about none in many cases, andthe level of activity has been virtually about zero at many locations. All remaining chapters stand at differentdevelopment levels, some merely got a basic empty (and not so well looking) webpage, while others have bankaccounts, P.O. Boxes, telephone numbers and a number of active paying members. Most web pages, E-mailaddresses, P.O. boxes etc. are just being there, and are hardly used at all. There is no constructive plan, nogoals and no objectives to reach or fulfill no nothing at all. The HF is thus basically more or less virtually dead,as an organization that is. The name is still very well alive, and it seems to refuse to go.

    1.2 -Current State-

Despite all these silent years, and despite the absence or complete decline of everything that regards public

appearance of all kinds, production/stocking of new merchandise, open statements, new written material, freshand functional websites and so forth, there are still many people that are genuinely interested in our cause.People that whish to support us and spread our word, that whish to become members and people that areaffected of what we have to say, that want to follow our example because they believe it has something valuableto bring us all. People keep asking for new T-shirts, patches and other items. We have returning customers thatseemingly buy everything that we have to offer, merely to be of some sort of help. And donations (no matter howsmall) are more or less regularly given to us from random supporters. People contact us regularly and offer theirassistance, and ask if we need help with anything in particular (and you all know the sad sort of answers we cangive them). On a public basis, the HF is frequently cited, given links to and being spoken about on all sorts ofdiscussion boards, mailing lists etc. at the Internet. If you visit some sort of public event, where you could expectto find good people (people with somewhat similar views), you often see people wearing material produced byus, or hear people talk about the HF and so forth. Lots of people speak about the HF in a positive manner (often

more positive than what we really deserve), and take stand for our opinions and defend our honor when peopletry to smear us and this despite the fact that they are not even (or have ever been) members of the HFthemselves. And, discussions about the HF, and articles (in magazines etc.) about the HF is a usual phenomenonamong politically correct so called Asatru people all around the world (in some cases, we almost dominateamong the subjects!); and most mainstream books etc. dealing with modern Nordic Heathenism at leastmention the HF (usually of course not in an positive manner though).

Despite the current conditions outlined briefly in the Background part of this document, the situation is not at allhopeless. There could be or rather are ways of turning the remains of this movement into somethingworthwhile, something valuable that could also benefit us all in a number of ways; both on a personal level as wellas when it comes to all sorts of side projects such as musical bands, distribution companies, publishing housesand other organizational groups/movements that each and everyone of us might be involved within.

    2/10

We might question ourselves why we shouldnt start a new movement instead, why we shouldnt change ourname and so forth. Well, there could of course be advantages in doing so. But most such ideas probably stemfrom some simple sort of projection; i.e. that our failure and our own inability etc. is blamed at something else likethe usual: If it wasnt because of. Changing a name etc. would probably not change much, our oldbackground would be made well known by our enemies, and we would still always be the new Heathen Front;and this would probably only end up making ourselves looking like losers and cowards that have something tohide. In addition, we would loose the legendary sort of status that we have achieved. Some would probably justsay we would get rid of a negative reputation (however, as said our past would be made well known by certainoutsiders), but despite negative associations made to our name, we do have a certain respect and admirationamong a vast number of people, many of them good people. That is something highly valuable, something thatcan never be bought, and something you can fail to achieve even if you try over and over again for decades.

    1.3 -Conclusion-

The HF has a role to fulfill; we have something important to say. We got the experience (thats the most valuableof all), we got the knowledge (we even got scholars among us these days), we got the skills, we got the money(or at least we can see that we do so, if we like), we got the contact network and so forth. We have all learnt so

much, and it would frankly be madness to just see all that go down the drain. A complete waste. We should makesure to take advantage of what we have, something that we all have helped to create throughout these years. Allwe need is the motivation to make a final move, and reach continuous success, create something worthwhile orbitterly realize that we all wasted the prime of our youth working countless days and nights for somethingcompletely worthless, a complete disappointment that led us nowhere. Just if we want, we can dictate the futureof Nordic thought in a sublime yet very distinctive way, and there are none around who can compete with us,and there are no one that can stop us; just if we decide to do it.

We could easily turn the HF into a sort of undercover umbrella organization, a sort ofsyndicate that couldstrongly influence many of the various scenes that are more or less associated (both at personal andorganizational level) to the one we represent or at least once did represent ourselves. We have the means tomake a great impact, to make a serious change. Very few does, very few has someone there to listen, and fewever will have despite how much they try. We all know a of number examples of those failed attempts, that

appear and disappear all the time.Once we have achieved some serious (yet really simple), well planned basic objectives, withholding andmaintaining what we have created will be quite a simple and easy going mission. It doesnt need to take morethan an hour or suchlike on a weekly basis for most of us. Some of us wont need to fulfill more than anoccasional task now and then to keep things running; while others will be able to spend a large part of their sparetime on HF related matters, and possibly even make a personal side income while doing so. This thing turns outto be what wewant it to be, its just that simple. We (re)start in small scale, and see where it leads.

So. Basically we have two alternatives: Either we shape up and build something worthwhile of what we got left, and go on with that or we should dismantle whats left and put the whole thing to rest in a respectful and decentway. What we got left when it comes to possessions, is basically some domain names, some web space, someP.O. Boxes, some small funds and so forth; but the most valuable thing we got is still without doubt our name.

And that is what makes this and important decision for us to make.

    1.4 -What to do?-

What would benefit us the most, what would work the smoothest, and what would suit the current situation andgeneral attitudes of today the most; would probably be something like the following:

We should more or less abandon the current fruitless attempts to build and maintain a strict and traditionalmembership/activist sort of organization, and aim for a more individual/autonomous, freely flowing sort ofmovement instead. We should also work to overcome our national borders when it comes to our organizationalmatters1; and work more like THE Heathen Front instead of a vast numbers of small and poorly organized

1No matter how autonomous something is, there will always be need for an administration to maintain and keep official

    sources/outlets running.

XXXXX Heathen Front chapters, acting on their own. We therefore should put less focus on the Svensk, Norsk,Deutsche, Dutch, Vinlandic, English (and so on) parts of our name, and market ourselves more as Heathen Front,Hedensk Front, Heidnische Front (and so on) instead, other than when necessary of course. We should strivemore to act as a mentor kind of movement; being inspirational, guiding and directing people towards what weconsider is good; and thus avoid that they (our hangarounds/members/supporters) support/fuel and involve incounterproductive, dead end and pointless activities and organizations/movements. We should be more of a wayof thinking, a set of basic standpoints (our odalist/traditionalist stance), an idea and a moral foundation insteadof dictating any specific political standpoints and realpolitical perspectives. In short, we should act as a morefreeform think-tank, through which we influence the way people think, instead of clearly pointing finger andtelling people what to do. In short, we shall hook up, educate and set the future culture creators and culturebearers going, if you see what I mean.

Basically, if we dont feel for it, we really dont have any use for P.O. Boxes in each and every nation. We dontneed official bank accounts everywhere, and we need no official responsible individuals everywhere (yet we needto know who we cooperate with, of course). We set our own level of activity, like it suits us the best. A wellmaintained E-mail address is well enough to run this deal in most cases (we can further snail mail from the boxin Sweden, or whatever), everything else is more or less running itself, once we make things available topeople.

As for flyers, leaflets, promotional material and so forth; we should produce a set of good templates (fast andeasy to use) in for example InDesign and/or Quark Xpress, that are easily filled with the same text content in alllocation, with the corresponding native language, of course. This could very well be done by a few individuals. Aslong as the text material is well translated and proofread, and carefully looked through by national administratorsbefore and after being mounted into document templates. This way well make it superfluous and not at allnecessary foreveryone to learn these specific programs, which is indeed a little too much to ask. All flyers etc.will look similar, neat and with a uniform appearance; and the aesthetical standard and quality level will be similarin all locations.

This doesnt mean that our individual/regional peculiarities will go lost, or that this will all cost us ournational/folkish identity (which indeed isnt the same even in Norway and Sweden). We can (and should) very wellproduce gross amounts of text material etc. reflecting our own specific national character; even if we use similarlooking means to express this, and as long as we see that we dont contradict our common standpoints etc.

    1.5 -How?-

Who would do all this? Well, I am for example ready to make out one (or The) Head Office here in Sweden, that can provide new members world wide with their membership material as they join, that send out somebulletin several times/year (along with a load of promotional material and product news etc. that we all gather). Ican set together and send out E-mail Newsletters, I can assist/be a part of forming the templates for flyers etc.,and help out with the work of creating flyers in all languages, as long as someone translate/proofread thatmaterial. I can also help out editing and even writing material for a bi-yearly magazine (see separate description,4.1) and so forth. But, I cant do everything single handed. I need people proofreading; I need (above all) peopleproviding me with material when it comes to a magazine, and so on. I need people that contact and gather andarrange payment etc. for adverts for such a magazine (indeed this can take quite some time in some cases, I

know), and I need people writing reviews and so on for such a magazine. A handful of people doing a little eachworks, one single individual doing a lot does not in the extent.

In short, I myself can be responsible for a vast major part of all office maintainer work, but I cant deal with thecreational part too on my own, that is what we all need to be a part of. The rest is a piece of cake, really. Trustme.

    -=The idea=-

    2.1 -First and foremost-

If there are a satisfactory number of individuals ready to be a part of forming a future AHF, we will need to start off

being serious. We cant just have the everyone shares the load, and do what they can and want pseudoidealistic and well meaning sort of setup; it has and will always miserably fail. We should start up at a reasonable

  • 7/27/2019 Hf Revival

    4/10

and realistic level, and be careful about setting up all too vivid and grand goals for a starter. We need to set upclear and well defined plans (both at a personal and organizational level), and we need to work by setting upspecific dates when to start and when to finish tasks and so forth like every other serious organization/companyetc. We are no children anymore, and we all know how things work. We need to put some people in well definedpositions of responsibility, and see that these get whatever help they can have. We need a smoothcommunication (E-mail, ICQ/MSN, Skype, SMS, telephone etc.), with swift replies and a no excuse just tell thetruth standard, if you cant fulfill your obligations for some reason, the rest of us will need to know. It is not okayto let the rest of us find out by ourselves two weeks later. If you need to step back, we will need to know thisbefore you do, not one week or month afterwards. Dont hook up for something that you suspect you cant hold.

    2.2 -The Plot-

Below are a basic outline, how a new start for the HF could look, and what elements that would involve, and inwhich order we should start:

    1. Set up a Crew listFor a starter, and to take on the steps below, we need to share the tasks among us. Some will need to

take on responsibility for some small part each. We should also decide who will be nationaladministrator in each chapter, and preferably some vice national administrator.2. Create a basic princ iples program

A short descriptive text/list, somewhat what we have had already earlier. Mostly regarding publicappearance issues, i.e. what matters to avoid/not to discuss, what terms not to use and so forth (i.e. theusual ZOG, Jews, 14/88, White Power/Pride, WWII etc.).

    3. Create a uniform graphical profil eRegards the whole appearance, like colors, fonts, logotypes etc.

    4. Form a new Internet portalSee separate description, 3.1.

    5. Promotional materialClothing, patches, posters, key straps etc. Simply, the more we produce the more we sell. We need

    funds. Suitable producers/contacts is needed.

    2.3 -Member material-

As for membership material, this is what I have in mind. Let me know what you think. Other material could beadded later on, perhaps especially concerning the membership extras/favors part. The term members below, means every paying member. The activists term means people who are truly active, that shares the workload andclosely assist the national administrators and so forth; these will probably make out quite an insignificant part ofthe total number of members, and will probably be made out of the good old lads who know each other sincemany years back in time.

    -=Internet Portal=-

    3.1 -Basic concept-

The idea is that the all the national HF-pages should be dismantled to the largest extent possible, if someonereally feel like keeping their own webpage, they can of course do so. But to make a uniform impression, to keep a

similar level of aesthetic quality and to make sure that the contents are at least somewhat the same, its highlyencouraged that all the old pages are completely gone (the old URLs can be furthered to the new nationalsubsections of the new domain, of course), and replaced by these easy-to-maintain national subsections instead. If someone decides to keep an old page anyway, the least thing we should demand is that its being frequentlyupdated, simply to avoid the Dead Heathen Front impression that they currently offer the visitor in most cases. However, I think that most current maintainers/web designers among us will feel quite good about abandoningtheir old web pages, and instead start handling a new subsection with a quick and simple CMS (ContentManagement System) interface. That will mean a whole lot more visible results, and a lot less waste of time andefforts to no avail.

The new domain should be styled as a portal, with a multilingual interface (easy for the visitor to pick the desiredlanguage). When a specific language is chosen2, the webpages national contents is shown to the visitor; with

the corresponding news, articles archive, links, PDF-sections (+ the additional international contents in Englishat all sections) and so forth. If there are any P.O. Boxes, bank accounts (etc.), telephone numbers or similaravailable in the national area, these are listed at the top of the Contact section, followed by the other nationalareas right below. If there is any national HF-based sales department, the visitor should be able to choose fromthe national or the main AHF Sales page when visiting the sales section.

The domain should be designed to work through a dynamic CMS, with multiple user interface, featuring avarying degree of permission levels (due to security reasons), that enable the user to add/delete/modify contentsat the various different sections of the webpage. The national administrators (head responsible for the nationalsections of the webpage) alone can add/delete users, and set their permissions. All national administrators shallbe able to edit at least the news sections, and add reviews, articles etc. (in English) to the main pages (simply to

    2

There should be a possibility to make the webpage automatically transfer the visitor to the national section, through their IP-number. If the IP-number does not reveal the visitors nationality (or when no national page is available), the visitor is sent tothe main page in English.

  • 7/27/2019 Hf Revival

    6/10

make it more living than it would be otherwise), users with lower permission should only be able to edit (parts of)the national contents, and perhaps add articles etc. (international, in English) to the main page.

    3.2 -Elements-

The different sections/elements that could be a part of the portal are:

News sectionInternational news in English at the main page. International + separate regional news at all nationalsubsections (i.e. two columns appearing at these national pages), with general reports on events thatare of interest for us + (of course) news that regards the HF itself. It should be possible for anyone(outsiders too, or perhaps mainly?) to give us tips/suggestions for news, through some simple webbased form where they can post links and so forth.

Download sectionPDF-format leaflets about:- Heathen Front materialThe most common/basic text material distributed as simple leaflets, including membership info etc.

    - General cultural issuesExplaining the meaning of different holidays, festivals, saintly days, common symbolism, languageexpressions and similar (these should be more or less gray/undercover character, with no more thandiscrete contact information for the HF).- Various issues Informational leaflets about issues like: Health risks with refined sugar, aspartame and the contents ofcertain hygiene products. Info about the risks of vaccination (even though its explained as a musttoday, we never get to hear of all the risks involved). Info on how to leave the church in thecorresponding national area (+ all the favors or brings, and a brief ideological argument). Info aboutKosher/Halal slaughter, including contact info to protest groups etc.- Study material/misc. literatureOCRed texts, mainly out of print literature (and good material that is legal to freely distribute) and

short articles of interest. Certain part of the archive should be restricted to members (activists?) only, with (hard-to-get) material that might include a risk to distribute due to legal/copyright issues.- Misc. downloadable material:- Desktop wallpapers- Different sizes, including small logotype + www.heathenfront.org etc.- Skins, for WinAmp, Trillian etc.- Previews/extracts, from releases of related companies (PP and maybe others) + perhaps the oldBudkavlen issues etc.

Projekt OdalMembers only. Login function. Web based (+ downloadable PDF file) form for reports onexpeditions/examinations of cultic sites and similar objects (possibility to upload photos, map scans, plots etc.), including GPS coordinates etc. Including database/search engine for registered sites, as

well as practical instructions, tips & ideas and so on regarding this type of activity. Picture gallery

Must be closely/regularly overviewed to keep out illegal contents, and to keep a reasonable imagequality. Perhaps we need to have a registered users only function for uploading? Should be formedsomewhat similar to the current gallery of the discussion forum, but more divided into categoriesincluding for example:- Photos of HF-leaflets placed out/being handed out in public places (with descriptive text comment)- Photos from wilderness activity, hikes, mountain climbing, ceremonies, eventual meetings, HF-activity (shots from at desk work activity or whatever one might like to share).- Photos reflecting odalist lifestyle, building construction (farm housing, Hof, V etc.), farm work, handicraft, cooking, martial arts/weapons training, hunting and picking of berries/mushrooms/fruit etc.- Cultic places (well known ones, that we cant keep secret anyway).

    - Nature scenery (like in the current forums gallery, some really nice stuff!)- Other (better name needed). For example architecture, folk costumes, post-heathen artefacts and

  • 7/27/2019 Hf Revival

    7/10

such with heathen symbolism etc., pictures of monuments or whatever that in one or another way canbe associated with the HF/heathenism/odalism and so forth.

Link sectionThis should be quite an extensive and vital part of the portal. Should be divided into several sections(with specific national contents too, that are otherwise quite pointless to international visitors ) ragingfrom all like health/foodstuff (like www.slowfoods.org and www.tradisjoner.no and similar) and on topages with traditionalist/heathen text archives, and further on to web stores selling worthy materialand so on. Perhaps we could also ease up the non-subculture policy a bit, and at least link to portalkind of pages like www.neofolk.com, www.neo-form.de, www.fluxeuropa.com etc? As long as weavoid the usual pointless black metal discussions etc. I cant see the problem.

Discussion forumThis is an excellent way to generate frequently returning visitors, and equally an excellent way for usto put focus on special matters; and a way for us to give the public our view on things. I guess most ofus can agree that the quality of the discussions have been raised quite a lot the last year or so, as aresult of our strict censorship policy etc. The current forum is perhaps not perfect, and we shouldmaybe look for an alternative (?); or at least a major cosmetical (beyond the default settingspossibilities) overhaul could improve things. Maybe we could have one custom made for us from

scratch? (a lot of work, I know). AdvertisingWe should leave the design open for the possibility of making space for adverts, like link banners etc.(mainly for our own products, and companies etc. related to us). We should also put up clearspecifications for advertising prices etc. (good discount for members). Of course we should have astrict policy on what we allow and disallow regarding these adverts. We decide what is put up notjust anyone (payment is made afterthat we accept or reject the inquiry). We should also look upvarious link banner trading possibilities (both for the HF and our related companies etc.).

Review sectionWe really should consider the possibilities of such a feature. Here we could not only give goodpeople and their material splendid reviews (simply to do them a favour, and to make people buy goodproducts that are likely to influence them in a positive way seen from ourpoint of view), we could

also get our hands on products of bad people (file sharing is a good way) and give them verydiscrediting reviews, making them look cheap, amateur, false, ridiculous, useless and tasteless andwhatever. This is a very powerful weapon in the established media these days, and why shouldntwe put that into use ourselves?

WAP/mobile phone friendly sectionNot that it would make any enormous impact, but a simple WAP-page containing basic contactinformation, bank/PayPal account etc., and some small page easy to surf with smaller mobile phones(perhaps with product news from AHF Sales etc?) could be a good idea too. As almost everyone got amobile phone these days, we should investigate the possibilities that this brings us.

Contact sectionSimply a section with all E-mail addresses, alternative URLs, P.O. Boxes, telephone/fax numbers andso on; the national chapters data automatically shown on top (if possible). Some PDF-file (and

perhaps web based form?) for address change for members should be present too. Polls

Creating polls, where we ask questions and check the climate concerning various questions, is anexcellent way of finding out the right strategic moves to take. Not to be underestimated.

Dictionary A database consisting of terms/words (rlog, wyrd, hamingja, fylgia, megin etc.), along with theiretymological meaning (when we are able to offer that), and descriptions of their correspondingmeaning. Preferably accessible to all visitors. There should be a suggest function, so that visitorscan submit words/terms that they wish us to include (perhaps also a possibility a Comment function.for people to send us their comments/suggestions, if they think we are wrong etc.).

    8/10

    -=AHF Magazine=-

    4.1 -Basic concept-

The basic idea is a yearly or (preferably) bi-yearly magazine in English. Not the usual Xeroxed folded A4 thing, but a full format (about A4) sized, professionally printed with full color (at least the cover and perhaps severalpages inside the magazine) and a glossy cover and so on. The focus of this magazine should be mostly pan-Northern European (or rather Germanic oriented, thus including North America as well). Of course we caninclude material about Celtic, Slavic, Baltic and similar character as well (as a curiosity, if nothing else); but asmost chapters and most activists are Germanic, this will be noticed very clearly.

This might sound rather outlandish at first, regarding both price and workload. But we should not underestimatethe potential such a magazine could have for us, and it doesnt need to be an impossible task in any way.Economically however, we should calculate it as a +/-0 kind of project. The main interest is its promotional factor.Besides, many, many more supporters and potential members would take the step and become members if weshould include such a thing into the membership. People are sensitive to the What do I get? part ofmemberships, and we should be well aware of that. People want stuff, its that simple.

When it comes to contents, frankly, take a look into most magazines in any shop today. They dont contain by faras much actual material as they might seem to do at first glance. Those making these magazines know very wellhow to play around with space and create illusions. We should make nice aesthetical layouts, with large fancylooking full (or half) page images; with large headlines and the actual article itself starting perhaps in the lowerth corner of the right-hand page. Its both good looking, and a way to put less material into a larger space. Itsounds not so honest, but this is the way it works. Just look around, its nothing unusual or special about it. Thisis the deal. And honestly, most people dont read 100% of a magazine, ever. And too much text makes manypeople just put a magazine aside, its too much for them to grasp really. They dont bother to start at all. Its allpsychology.

Each issue doesnt really need to contain more than some 2-3 more superficial articles, and perhaps 1-2 morein depth ones. Besides that, we should include usual material like reviews of books/CDs/concerts etc. (we writegood reviews for our own products, and material that we like people to get in touch with and the other way

around, of course), and news reports from the HF, as well as general news on world events that border to ourarea of interest (along with our own comments/view when we see it fit). We could also perhaps try to get someinterview of some kind for each issue. That is the standard material, meant to be included in each issue. Forevery single issue, we can (shall) always fit in some unique material. Perhaps magazine format articles of newflyers, along with a reference like You can download this article as a PDF-flyer from our portal anddistribute(?). Maybe we could have some sort of theme for each issue? Cultic places, some personality(Evola/Devi/Spengler/Jnger/Nietzsche etc.), traditional food, martial arts, folklore, herbal medicine etc., and try tofit in articles, interviews, reviews and so forth that deal with these special issues? That might make it a bit easierto come up with material for articles etc.

Regarding subscriptions, it must of course be possible for people to subscribe to this magazine without beingmembers. Wholesalers/retailers is another way of getting the magazine out (we should offervery good prices),

and a way of being more or less certain to get at least a basic sum of money from each issue to cover expenses(like, having some company agree to buy 50 copies of each issue). We should send out large amounts of freecopies (of each issue) as promo copies to all sorts of distros, magazines, various organizations (avoid the all toonazi/WP ones) etc. that might be interested in one way or another (not necessarily always in a positive way, Imight add). And, when a new issue is out, we should make sure to include copies of the former issues as freebies along

with a little larger orders from AHF sales, and to people asking for information. Its by far better to have themspread for free to people reading them, instead of having them collecting dust in someones basement for yearsto come.As for financing this magazine and for the rest of the fill-out contents this is much the same thing. Take a

look at the large magazines out on the market. Like almost every second page is made out of adverts, full pageadverts or whole pages made out of several small ones. We should strive to get as much advertising made as

possible (I guess we could never expect getting too many, if so we should be really happy!). We could even bequite liberal concerning who we will allow to make adverts (of course, we shall have our limits anyway), as long

  • 7/27/2019 Hf Revival

    9/10

as we make it clear its a paid advert, and nothing we support of wish to promote. No matter how capitalist andcynical it might sound, this is how magazines are run; not through subscriptions and selling of single copies.Thats a fact.Adverts can be used very effectively by us as well. If some of our own companies are about to release a

CD/book (etc.), we should strive to coordinate that release right before the next issue of our magazine, andinclude a good neutral advert (looking like a normal paid advert) for that title. That way we get a good helpingpush for our own releases, i.e. we get free promotion and generate some well needed sales right off from start.

    4.2 -International Bulletin-

The International HF Bulletin should be issued about 2-4 times/year. A simple Xeroxed (perhaps in color) foldedA3 or even double sided A4. Preferably as much in between the releases of the AHF Magazine as possible(simply to avoid long periods of silence from us). The bulletin should possibly contain news from the HF, alongwith the current status of the AHF Magazine (a little presentation of the coming theme etc.). It can containinformation about coming releases from the HF, or from companies related to the HF (or simple releases of allkind that we view as positive). It can contain news about upcoming (non-HF) events from all around Europe (likeWagners Nibelungen will be set up at the Gothenburg Opera from October 25th to February 28th, Big Nordic

Poet festival in Bergen in April or New Viking ship re-construction sets sail in Stockholm at the 1st of May!etc.).

    4.3 -National Bulletin-

The National Bulletin (in corresponding native tongue, of course), much the same thing as the InternationalBulletin. This should be a possibility for those who wish to do the little extra, and/or as an occasional thing sentout when there is something special that the national administrators wish to make their fellow national membersaware of. Especially crafty and eager-to-work national crews can of course send out as many issues of theirNational Bulletin as they like; and the other way around if there are none there to do the work, there should benone at all.

    5.1 -The idea-

Perhaps a little hard to explain what I mean here (the title I use here is just a working title). But, when you joinsome organisations, you often get some kind of small booklet (preferably pocket size) with guidelines, tips andsuggestions for how to help the organization in daily life, and how to live and act in a way that benefits what webelieve in the every day life. It might be quite similar, and border to the idea of the AHF handbook in some ways;but short suggestions like these might otherwise be hard to fit into the AHF handbook in a suitable way. Wecould perhaps build it like From A-Z, or at least with a major part of the booklet making out a From A-Z section. In this case we can use very short descriptions like in the (just made up fast) examples below (the comments can

of course be made longer, if we like). Anyone of us who feels for it can make translations of this Manifesto. Yoursuggestions here are very welcome.

    5.2 From A-Z (examples)-

    - Alien words: Words of alien origin shall be avoided to the largest extent possible.- Cultic places: Explore your close neighbourhood for places of cultic character, report potential new discoveriesto Project Odal. Tell your (trustworthy) friends about these places, and suggest that you visit them together.- Ecology: Chose ecological foodstuff, cleaning agents, hygiene products etc. when possible.- Environment: Join some suitable group for environmental protection (for news and information).- Etymology: Explain the meaning of older vocabulary to others when you get the chance to do so (like the oldSwedish Sl ihjl = Sl till Hel, ska = Asa-king/Guds-kning etc.)- Handicraft: Try to learn and become

skilled in some sort of traditional handicraft.- Folklore: Learn about folklore, in particular the national and especially local folklore.
