CoatingWe include a clear water-based aqueous coating at no extra charge when you select a paper with a gloss finish. Aqueous provides a high-gloss surface that deters dirt, finterprints and scuffmarks.

UV coating is a highly protective, ultra-shiny gloss coating that we apply over aqueous coating then cure using ultraviolet light. This solvent-free UV coating provides an extremely hard finish that’s chemical and abrasion resistant.

What are Pounds and Points?Points are the thickness of a sheet of paper in thousandths of an inch. For example, a 10 pt. cover stock is 0.010 inches thick. Pounds refer to the weight of 500 sheets of paper - and the higher the pound number, the thicker the paper. It’s also good to know that “cover” stock is generally twice as thick as “text” stock for the same weight. For example, 80# Gloss Cover is twice as this as 80# Gloss Text.
