CautionThe metal parts of the drill may bemade live if the tool drills intowiring. Only the insulatedhandles of the TE22 should becontacted when drilling into a wallor other concealed soace.

Use of TE-D-SDSetting Toolwith HDI Anchors1. Drill the hole for the HDIanchor and install the anchor intoolace.

2. Insert the TE-D-SD SettingTool into the drill chuck (usesame procedure as for a bit).

3. t,lsing both hammering androtation. Dlace the end of theTE-D-SD Setting Tool into theanchor and "hammer" the pluginto the anchor until the settingtool bottoms out on the top of theanchor. The HDI is now "set".

Maintenance of bitsBecause of the operatingprinciple of the TE22, excessoperator pressure is notneeded. To ensure long bit life, never force the bit or let itoverheat.

Sharp bits perform better thandull ones. Resharpen bits asfrequently as needed. Resharpenonly in accordance withinstructions.

Regrinding carbide bitsResharpening can be ac-comolished with a normalgrinding wheel to the anglesindicated in the accompanyingdiagram. A good grade ofsilicon carbide grinding wheelhardness H to J, grit size 80should be used. lt is best touse a commercially availableadjustable angle drill grindingbit holder. Short back and forthmovements of the tool willproduce a good ground finishwith little heating effect. Car-bide cutting edges must neverbe cooled in water.
