Can you always access the current telephone numbers in your company network from your desk telephone?Do you know who called in your absence and who is urgently awaiting your reply?

HiPath Display Telephone Book (DTB) offers name dialing, caller identification and a missed calls list for the optiPoint and Gigaset telephones in your HiPath 4000 and Hicom 300 E/H network.

  • Functions

Name dialingYou can search for a name by entering it via the keyboard.

The quick search function is set by default in DTB V9.0. The name is entered in the same way as a text message with T9 support. You need only press the key featuring the de-sired letter once.

The matrix search feature is used in DTB V8.0. With this option, the key featuring the desired letter must be pressed twice. Once the name is found in the selected directory and displayed on the telephone, simply press the button to make the call.

You can run a search in the following direc-tories:● Common directory● Personal directory

Call journal Two call journals are available for DTB users: one each for incoming and outgoing calls. Users can decide which calls they want to store.● All calls● Unanswered calls● External calls● Unanswered external calls

New calls are visually signaled on the tele-phone.Multiple calls are documented by a counter in the call journal entry.

For call forwarding, you can select whether the call should be forwarded to the original call destination or to the call forwarding destination (deputy).

Caller identificationFor caller identification, all call numbers are compared with the entries in the DTB direc-tories. The associated name is shown in the display. The search starts in the personal di-rectory, proceeds to the common directory and finishes in the list of company of names.

The list of company names can be config-ured for additional caller identification. This list contains the call numbers for part-ner companies (without extensions). The company name is then displayed but not the name of the person calling from that company.

Password protectionDTB users can employ a password to protect their personal directory and their call jour-nals.

Server networkingOne DTB V9.0 server operates with one HiPath 4000 system.Hicom 300 systems are operated by DTB V8.0 servers.DTB V9.0 and DTB V8.0 servers can be con-nected via LAN to one DTB network.

AdministrationManaging DTB usersThe DTB application automatically registers every new DTB User, if he press the DTB key on his telephone keypad for the first time. After that this DTB User has immediately ac-cess to all DTB functions if free DTB licenses were available.

Common directoryThe common directory can be automatically created using the central database of the HiPath 4000 Manager and can be updated on a daily basis.Alternatively, it can be entered and updated by the administrator via the user interface on the DTB server.

Personal directoryThe personal directory is managed by DTB users and is generally created by transfer-ring entries from the call journal.
