Geographical / Relocation
• Issue bigger than the Bioindustry or even the Manufacturing sector
• Solutions need to be led by local and national governments to encourage economic growth, but influenced / supported by the industry
e.g. Expanding life science clusters (Northern Powerhouse, Northern Health Science Cluster, Northern Alliance Advanced Therapies Treatment centre, Cardiff Capital Region (CCR) City Deal)
• Brexit impact: industry to lobby for immigration policies that make it as easy as possible to continue recruiting talent from the EU
How can we address these issues?
#BIALeaP
Keeping skilled people in the sector
• More competitive salaries
• Up-skilling
o ATAC programme for technician, graduate and post graduate apprenticeships
o UCL MBI training / masters, VISION Leadership Programme
o CPD (Continuous Professional Development) through Professional Bodies

How can we address these issues?
#BIALeaP
